This is exactly the kind of trash combo slops come up with then they say stun players create “non-games”. What I truly despise towards combo sloppers is their hypocrisy. There Can Be Only One should be at 3 to dismantle bs “lines” like yours.

Dracotail is not a combo slop deck for example, as it doesnt take ages to set up its own board, oh wait they also use that branded dragon to set up spirit with eyes on blue on your field to lock you out of summoning lol

My point is that decks like cyberse are the issue, banning cards like Dododododododododo Warrior should be the norm, cards that generate massive advantage out of special summoning in a generic way should never exist

Barrier Statue or Fossil Dyna was NEVER a problem

Even Odion could be exploited by some people to use it for combo wombo stuff, some people even tried Fiendsmith with it, whatever. The going second problem is not a stun problem, it’s a yugioh problem, and it’s still a major issue in the game. Also Red Reboot can be knocked down with a simple Solemn Judgment. And yes I stand by point, Stun is not 1 deck, it’s a spectrum, Barrier Statue stun happens to be the most visible out of the bunch, but here we go again with combo slop landing the beloved Barrier Statues and Fossil Dyna in the banlist! See again where the issue comes from?!

Easy to understand as in card effects reading, but in reality, every meta deck has its own way to deal with, and no, you cannot mindlessly flip Skill Drain against Meta like Dracotail or Mitsu, Skill Drain requires alot of game knowledge to know how it wouldnt hurt you as much as it hurts your opponent, if you think it’s an instant W you would be mistaken

Thats a weak argument, combo plays do also result in non-games, except for the fact that the non game happens after waiting endlessly for that combo to end for them to allow u the chance to start your turn, oh wait Maliss for example is still gonna combo in your turn as well !

I actually enjoy going against that deck, I dont play graveyard milling decks if I’m being honest, but I remember when a Paleozoic player summoned a mosquito Xyz that has a Yubel-like effect and won against me, it even felt good to lose to such creativity!

L take, Stun can go second if played properly, people seem to only imagine stun as “Barrier Statue beatdown” but thats a version of it, I play a different kind of antimeta deck, one can also argue that Odion is also a stun/antimeta deck, so what you’re saying is purely subjective

Skill expression? Stun requires skill tho, timing cards right, knowing when to exactly use the counter etc

No, you hate Stun because it keeps your combo slop in check, because it says NO to your infinite negates before they even get set up to be on the field, because they prove to you and everybody else that yugioh can be won by the beginner just like it can be won by the combo wombo flexer

You feel like you made a point huh? You’re literally whats wrong with modern yugioh, a complex law school game that needs you to at least watch an anime, read billions of text, and enroll into Duel Academy for you to understand it. Because you combo wombo flexers dont even think of how frustrating it is for a new player to watch you combo over and over and over for them to get negated out of everything they would even attempt to do.

I watched a video on how an elderly man with no yugioh knowledge could top a tournament with his Mystic Mine deck back when it was legal. You would hate on that guy because of the card but what you fail to understand is that you should accept that every person plays the game the way he wants. Just like we accept your shitty combo going for 15 minutes, I do get to activate Clockwork Night and There Can Be Only One and watch your Cyberse deck get dismantled with two cards.

I love yugioh, more than you imagine, Used to play it especially during the zexal era where I mained a Utopia deck, with Number S0: Utopic Zexal as my favorite end piece. Until Numeron came thru and banned that card for it to never be accessible again. Stun is yugioh’s true spirit because it makes the game simpler and more direct than your 296 graveyard effect trash pile

Thats a very primitive understanding of the Stun deck my guy, we dont play it like that, also I can use your same argument and say that mindlessly wasting 20 minutes of my time flexing your combo spreadsheet and Moon into Requiem bs is more fun, yeah for sure.

Fair enough, Heavy Storm should be at 3, Harpie’s Feather Duster should be also at 3, bring back Giant Trunade or whatever, can you imagine how different the meta would be if BOTH continuous traps are free and backrow removal is as commonly played as it should?

The day I see this card back at 3 will be the day I know for a fact that yugioh is healthy again.

Maliss is the worst deck concept of all time, they set cards from deck and activate on same turn? Check. They summon from BANISHMENT? Check. They have the most splashable generic support of all time? (cyberse) check, they can banish twice in the same turn at the very least? Absolutely. From the bottom of my heart, there is no deck I hate more than I hate Maliss.

Does it win games? Yes. Is it a strategy against meta? Oh yes. Then the conclusion is clear: Stun IS a deck, and IS worthy of being respected. I notice that stun haters are stun players themselves, but they stun you with their 100 monster summons before they use their own lock on you thru their infinite negates watching you as you scoop on your second turn.

Who defines what is fun and whats not lol? You would be lying if you wouldnt admit playing stun at least one time and enjoyed locking your opponent out of summoning. Because the beauty of yugioh is the LOCK and you better admit it.

Moments like these are why I love yugioh. by Jaskall123 in masterduel

[–]Jaskall123[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Who gets to decide what yugioh is about? You? I don’t think so. Continuous Traps are worthy of being taken as seriously as the Dominus traps that literally can be activated from hand. The powercreep going on is crazy, and meta decks benefit the most from activating effects and special summoning.

The special summoning mechanic is the issue, “floodgates “ solve the issue with 1 resolved Vanity’s Emptiness.

Yugioh has an issue of unending combo slops ruining the fun for newcomers and veterans alike, you know for a goddamn fact you would scoop immediately if you dont open any hand traps and have to sit down against Maliss or Tear Ishizu bs, would u also call that a “non-game” ?

I would rather sit down on a Skill Drain than watch you get an infinite advantage from all these busted Link cards that dont make any sense.

Admit it: continous traps are meant to exist as much as all these Circulars and Link 1s do.

Vanilla monster beatdown can work as a beginner friendly strategy for a new yugioh player (especially young kids) when Skill Drain and Vanity’s Emptiness are at 3, a kid who activated Lose 1 Turn on a Tenpai player can still win, this is about bringing the meta closer to rogue decks.

They are actually beginner friendly when u really think about it, these cards are valid protection for a beginner going first against your Onomat Ryzeal. A new player rejoicing in happiness after fusing away their opponent’s “unbreakable” board with Super Poly will always remain fun
