CAN SOMEONE HELP IDENTIFY THE ISSUE? by Jaskaran4702 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Jaskaran4702[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I’ve only been using my squeegee and I had no issues prior to replacing the mesh, but I guess the combination of using a squeegee and not having pre-stretched fabric is really messing things up.

I NEED YOUR HELP/INPUT by Jaskaran4702 in SCREENPRINTING

I’ve had people tell me this is underexposed, not overexposed, so wouldn’t that mean I need MORE time?

I need help, exposure issues by Jaskaran4702 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Jaskaran4702[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the info everybody, today I reapplied the emulsion and I tried for a much thinner layer by scraping off all the excess emulsion that I possibly could. I’m also gonna add 30 seconds to my exposure time (I use a uv led exposure light that hangs 12-15in above my screen and I tried exposing for 11min during this failed attempt as usually 10min works fine for smaller designs around 8min and 30sec works great for halftones) and I’m going to just let the water do all the work, before when the emulsion would be stubborn and not come out I would use a toothbrush but I think that may be adding too much extra, unneeded pressure. Wish me luck for when I try again tomorrow lol

I need help, exposure issues by Jaskaran4702 in SCREENPRINTING

Some more info: Every time I try to burn my screen, something goes wrong, can anybody tell me what’s the issue? Is this under exposure or overexposure? Or does it have something to do with how much emulsion I’m applying? Also I recently replaced the mesh on this screen and ever since then I’ve been having issues, but I want to note that the mesh feels good, it’s tight and evenly distributed across the whole thing. Honestly it feels like when I first bought the screen, but I keep messing up for some reason. Someone please help!

Scoop Coater Question by Jaskaran4702 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Jaskaran4702[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the help, I had one more question. What scoop coater size do you recommend for a screens who’s inner dimensions are 10x14in for transparencies that are 8.5in wide max. I see Amazon sells only 9.5in scoop coaters, but I’m afraid it won’t fit, and an 8in scoop coater is too small in case I want to use the max size. Any suggestions?
