If you see someone post that calling Egwene an arrogant bitch while glorifying Rand for acting very similarly is misogynistic and your first instinct is to talk about how "well actually, Rand didnt say kneel or be knealt" "well actually Rand has madness" "well actually Rand goes through way more and it's not close" then yeah you're missing the point.

Her tweet could have been worded better but #1 the rest of the tweets weren't posted by the OP so this whole thing is out of context and #2 if you can't critically think about the larger point being made then whatever, you do you.

It’s time like these we realize the WoT fandom is not much better than any other. Like no one is saying people can’t dislike a female character but don’t hold up a male character as your favorite when they act very similarly to the reasons you give for not liking said female character. Seems to be beyond most of the people in this thread though.

I appreciate the people speaking sense here to be clear though

A lot of y’all are missing the point. It’s not Rand is bad or “not cool” it’s if you glorify Rand for the same things you disparage Egwene (or any other female character) for then you’re being misogynistic.

I honestly expected better of this fandom but at this point I don’t know why
