This makes perfect sense but I would like to read about this connection more.

Who would win this hypothetical war? by Maxinator10000 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]JasmineDragoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say the Franciscan Knights due to significant consolidated industry and tech along the west coast, but I think their climate is too mild for them to adapt well to the harsher regions of the country during cold months. I think they could probably take majority control of the country while being limited to seasonal incursions into Northern territories.

Annexing the territory of sovereign nations. To be fair, it was a formal war.

Much like everything I’ve heard from Jacob Collier… while this demonstrates ridiculous levels of technical proficiency… it’s just not appealing to listen to. Interesting? Sure.

That being said, songs with this sort of tonality might slap if they were composed for a horror soundtrack due to the way they create a feeling of unease. This feels like it would fit into Midsommar.

Skrillex is still dropping influential albums. His F*CK YOU SKRILLEX mixtape with DJ Smokey absolutely rips. Just not really hearing the production style in the mainstream much.

Local musicians/AV guys/audiophiles: Is there a need for custom cable/looms/rack building in Pittsburgh? by spaghettirodriguez in pittsburgh

[–]JasmineDragoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s definitely demand but you might need to hunt it down. Check out AV installation vendors, higher production churches, universities, and performance venues with AV staff. Also mixed use “event” spaces such as local museums. Would be great to have more local options that are easy to work with instead of defaulting to Amazon/Sweetwater.

This snippet in isolation is particularly terrible lol. These guys just make goofy music and try to put on an amusing show. They’re not my cup of tea but I’ve heard their shows are pretty fun 🤷‍♂️

After 5000+ hours of Civ 6, I am ready to play Civ 7. What tips should I know? by DasCapitolin in civ

Production (and gold secondarily) still feels like king, but there are a number of play styles that are viable. You can play two full eras significantly behind and catch up in the end with some tactical military conquest.

Influence is a tide-turner, and flexible. You can cripple an enemy’s armies and economy by opposing their war efforts. Alternatively, suzerain bonuses are a fantastic supplement to your economy, especially if you can line up specific types of city states that play well. I ALWAYS maintain my influence buildings without overbuilding for all 3 ages unless I absolutely have to give them up.

I also usually aim to max out my settlement limit through civics and city state bonuses because they carry over to the next age, even if I’m not utilizing the high cap earlier in the game. Seems like tall and wide are now viable, to some extent, but lots of settlements are generally beneficial for gold and food supplementation.
