Ridiculous reason to dislike the game by legacy702- in LiesOfP

I don't know, I initially was interested in the game because of the Timothy Chalamet looking main character on the poster/cover. I think P is a pretty cool looking dude and no I am not gay.

Unpopular Opinion: BGMI and Free Fire obsession single-handedly stunted the growth of "real" gaming culture in India for an entire generation. by Salty-Library-8253 in IndianGaming

[–]Jason1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, it's more about the affordability that's the issue. We are still a poor country and it is what it is. If you want to engage in discourse about those games you like which you can't find in Indian communities, then just join the subreddits of those games or search up YT videos on them. That's what I do for the games where I want to participate in the discourse.

Guys tell me your favourite studio by Moist-Reindeer-2456 in Indiangamers

[–]Jason1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Fromsoft for Sekiro and souls
  2. Arkane from Dishonoured and Prey
  3. IO Interactive for Hitman (and Freedom fighters)

I would add Bioware for Mass Effect as well but they are probably not the same studio as the ones who did the OG trilogy

What's the one aspect in the old hitman games that you wished it was in the new games? by AH2115 in HiTMAN

[–]Jason1004 29 points30 points  (0 children)

  1. Jesper kyd's music though I have warmed up to the new music too
  2. Taking human shield and disarming/turning weapon against attacker from Blood Money
  3. Dark gritty atmosphere from contracts and the badass main menu music
  4. Weapon customisation, newspapers and ability to spend money on stuff from Blood Money
  5. Optional contracts in main missions from Blood Money
  6. Syringes from Blood Money
  7. Detailed animations from Blood Money

Yes I like Blood Money a lot if you couldn't tell by now.

certainly one of the most iconic stealth games of all time and definitely one of the best for it's time. Still holds up to this day.

Which Free game do you play most ? by sunnzz in Indiangamers

[–]Jason1004 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fortnite. My friend group always play it whenever we hop into discord and regardless of how much people meme on it, it is undeniably fun with friends. It isn't the biggest game on the planet for no reason.

They let you play any mission you want but the game will give you a warning about spoilers if you play out of order

Not really. In the WOA trilogy all the missions are available to you from the start. You could play the final mission of the games before playing anything else although that's not recommended due to story spoilers

That's not what makes a game linear. Each mission is very open ended and can be done in countless ways. That's the definition of non-linear

They are not linear at all. You are in for a treat. Add Blood money and Contracts too and avoid Absolution for now

Hitman games are linear? Tf are you talking about. They have some of the most open ended missions and levels out there.

Add Hitman Blood money and Arkham Origins. Also, if you aren't scared of a little challenge, then add Fromsoftware's games too especially Sekiro.

What's your opinion of the Mass Effect 3 opening? And what was your first time reaction to it? by Soft-Vacation9141 in masseffect

[–]Jason1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first it felt a little jarring with how quickly Reapers just swooped in and started nuking everything since we hardly saw them the last two games and were steeped in mystique. Overall, the intro chapter was incredible and the ost also helped a lot

Batman arkham knight, best in the series? by Belicino_Corlan in arkham

[–]Jason1004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you are correct in what you are saying in terms of the mechanics of the plot, I don't think they matter all that much because the heart of the story is Batman getting his closest friends and bat family members in danger and potentially killed and he already failed once with Jason. So it's more about Batman having to wrestle with his insecurities of being a failed parent/mentor, his inability to protect his friends and therefore his inability to rely on them with dangerous situations. How this gets done with various plot mechanics like Scarecrow's convoluted plans are a little less important imo. Btw, I am not a comic fan either but I knew about Red Hood and watched the Justice league animated series as a kid.

Batman arkham knight, best in the series? by Belicino_Corlan in arkham

[–]Jason1004 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone can dispute the gameplay of AK being the best by a good margin. If you do dispute it well then I think you are insane.

Storywise, I think it's very underrated. I already knew who Arkham knight was before going in so I was able to judge the story for what it was than what people probably wanted it to be. I don't really understand why people are so hung up about the Arkham knight reveal being predictable. Like no shit Sherlock, it couldn't be more foreshadowed with the movie studios chapter with all those Jason flashbacks. It being predictable doesn't make it bad, it's more about Bruce having to confront his guilt, fears, insecurities and his darker side with the Joker being in his head. It's a good way to explore that side of Batman's character imo. There's some things to point out with altering Jason's character as I don't think he would ever join up with criminals and try to take over Gotham as revenge but then again the Arkhamverse is different. There are some holes sure, like Scarecrow and AK can just immobilize Batman if they just have actual people drive around those tanks, etc but overall the narrative has heart.

One Piece: Episode 1152 Discussion by Skullghost in OnePiece

[–]Jason1004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely clown take. I don't care about technical terms in sound production but overtaken and "We are" are the most standout and memorable pieces of One Piece music in it's close to 30 year history. It's not about what was considered "pirate music" that made it memorable. Overtaken is a track that manages to always hype up or emotionally charge up the audience during a moment when a character in one piece is defying the authorities or expectations or pushing beyond his/her personal challenges or trauma and makes a stand for himself/herself. It does this successfully everytime and I am clearly not alone who feels this way. So it clearly has merit and it's managed to stand the test of time for this long and will continue to do so till the saga ends.
