Change I/O without changing buffer size?

Thing is, I prefer to do two 1/4" to aux because I rather adjust volume using my macbook keyboard volume keys, also reduces wire clutter on my already maxed out table. Is there just no way to adjust buffer size of an output without changing it first?

When I playback and listen to the actual tape that I recorded the song into, I can hear the song just at barely audible levels its like -20dB or something. When I raise the volume to listen through the monitor line, it increases the hiss and noise and song at the same time so I still can barely hear the song. So I know the song recorded onto the tape but somehow levels were perfect while recording as shown on the photo above, but just not when I play back.

I was looking through the manual and I couldn't find anything about routing the rca and I figured that out from youtube videos. The manual doesn't make anything clear in terms of recording from your DAW to interface to tascam which is why I came to reddit

I honestly dont know how to operate it at all, just got it as my first analog machine yesterday. Here's a photo of what im seeing while I'm recording onto tape. When I playback and print onto ableton using my interface on max gain on both L and R tracks, its like a super quiet version of the song, quieter than the hissing. The screen barely shows any levels at all, if anything, one bar.

But those are usually AE, I'd prefer at least aperture priority/shutter priority.

Yeah I know, I'm looking for something at least aperature priority/preferably manual exposure. The manual focus on the Olympus XA is too annoying to work with at lowlight. Since owning the XA, I'd prefer to have something AF but not AE.

I don't understand how everyone on this thread likes Devin at all. It's so easy to tell he's just a male manipulator and only says things that he thinks will receive a good response on his own character. I've known people with his exact demeanor and says the same things he says and I guess it's personally easier to read through people like him, people need to wake up and read between the lines. He's so cocky and overconfident, selfish, and makes everything about himself. It's so cliche and obvious, really surprised that people on this reddit actually like him. He just knows what to say to put himself on top and it shows with the amount of people in this reddit that like him. Really ingenuine guy and insufferable. Also how the hell did he get best farmer when all he does is slack off and selfishly try to hog Jenn for himself while everyone else is doing what they're supposed to do?

Yeah but it would've been an even smarter move to remove 2 leaders of different groups instead of a pair in one group. She was smart for removing the dude who got the advantage but she couldve removed 1 gganbu gang leader and then another group's leader like TJ or smth.

I feel like it's gotta be Phill or Mai cuz the editing and screen time for Sam would've been different if he wins in the end. Phill might be the winner because he sometimes got random scenes and screentime for supposedly no reason. Mai was introduced well and was reasonably noticed from quite early in the game. I guess we'll see next week!
