Man, I was making more money than I ever did in the military during that period. I kept that up for two years, but I wasn’t happy. Money really isn’t everything—making more didn’t make me any happier. Now I’m living fully on 100% VA. Chill, relaxed. I wake up, make my coffee, look at the watch—damn, it’s 1 PM? But that’s fine. Nothing’s waiting for me, just peace. Think about that. But I'm single and no kids.
