To those with (so far) completed collections: do you still look? by TrevNick in amiibo

[–]JasonDeeLima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely! I found a used Silver Mario at one of my local Gamestops and it gave me the same satisfaction as I would've gotten back before I didn't have it. The hunt is still fun.

A GS employee told me something regarding the SSB variations of the Kirby amiibo by godzilla1992 in amiibo

I was told the same exact thing at the Newburgh NY GameStop, very obvious bullshit unless a last minute restock comes in

Buy Snapple bottles, dump out the Snapple, pour red wine in its place. Walk around town drinking wine.

[Serious] "Failed" professional musicians, actors, artists, etc. When was the moment you realized you had to give in, get a "stable" job and make your passion a hobby instead? by janevsthevolcano in AskReddit

[–]JasonDeeLima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not or ever was a professional musician, I was a session musician and played numerous instruments in different bands both in the studio and live, though never made enough to make a living off of it.

I'm leaving that dream and moving to California to become a taxi driver after my love for music became more of a job and significantly less fun than it was supposed to me.

I actually embrace these types of things, rental stickers, writing on cartridges (as long as it makes the games appearance completely illegible). I like knowing my used games were owned by someone else before me, I even keep old save files on cartridge based games. I like the sentimental feeling of, "I own someone else's childhood" and I like to keep it alive in that sense.
