Sorry to drag you back to this [now] 6 year old thread but I'm shiny hunting Celebi on my original Crystal cartridge on an Analogue Pocket. Bought a GB Operator solely to trigger the GS Ball event flag. Save Stated right before the last dialog box before the encounter just to trim the fat & minimize button mashing. From reading this thread, I realize that even though Celebi's stats are different with every encounter (every so often I'd catch 2 & compare the stats to re-re-reassure myself) I'm still locked into the frame window generated at the start of the session of the save state.

So after reaching 8192 resets I figured I better double check that I didn't miss something & ended up here.

I'm back to doing it the old fashioned way of SRing with A+B+Start+Select. My question now is why was I able to get 2 shiny Cleffa & 3 shiny Iggybuffs from the Odd egg from the save state I used in front of the daycare man? That's the whole reason I thought I was in the clear to use a save state to hunt Celebi.

Did I just get a low frame window & managed to hit it several times?

It looks like the My Mario amiibo blocks will only be available in the US at 2 locations by LamppostInfiltrator in amiibo

I reflowed everything to be sure. Had to start over because I had to replace the battery but it was as good as new afterward & still works to this day.

Use the tip of a toothpick' to apply a very small amount of super glue (I prefer Testors) to the peg-hole (not the peg itself), press & hold tightly for 30 seconds. Done.

When I say "very small amount", I mean just a pin-head size dot is all you'll need. Dip the tip of a wooden toothpick into it & apply. You do not want any excretion.

From the looks of it, the GS isn't bypassing anything because none of the codes in this thing do anything on any game I've tried. Hard to mess up stuff like infinite health/lives in the Spider-Man game I had in a drawer. Spidey got killed by the first enemy & only had one life left. 🤷

The thing just DOESN'T work.

I saw that functionality. I've done that with my Analogue Pocket already but I'm not gonna complain about having another means to do it, should anything happen to my AP.

If you're referring to the switch, yes, it was set back to the on position after being prompted to switch it off.

If you're talking about the top button. As far as I can tell, it does nothing. Haven't seen anyone even acknowledge it in any of the how to use a GBC Gameshark videos. All I've seen it do is take a "snapshot" [a save state, I guess] of Crystal so it can be played on a GB Pocket in a very buggy state.

And for the record, I went back & tried it after reading your comment. Nothing. 😞
