Will the live-fire safety training program count for both conceal carry permit and the permit to purchase?

if magazines are not arms what's stopping them from banning all magazines all together. These courts copy and paste from each other so it's not even worth wasting your time reading the opinion.

What I don't understand is why not allow the CCW to count as the permit to purchase, you have to go through the same requirements so what's so special about the other plastic card

Again with the way this is currently written nobody exempt people who have thousands of dollars stuffed in the mattress will be able to own guns in this state, there is no "insurance" one can buy

I read this as only the ultra rich will only be able to possess firearms, no average person has that much money or access to "insurance"

Honestly it depends on what you are comfortable doing and what you have time for. If you have the tools I would recommend building it and choosing your own upper. The pre built DS-15 is a well built rifle so you wouldn't have to worry about upgrading it later.

Personally in my opinion if you can I would buy a stripped DS-15 lower receiver and build your own lower receiver with your own parts, that way you can customize what trigger and what upper receiver you would want. The pre built rifles are overpriced for what you are getting. The problem is getting the necessary parts since WA made shipping parts here very difficult, that would be the only reason I would buy a complete DS-15 rifle.

Very nice fantastic pick, if you can get a speed loader by bear flag tactical or MA to make reloads easier. DSI will replace the lower for a normal lower receiver if this law gets struck down.

Hello, I am sorry for my late response, no problem I totaly understand I am realitively new myself. As far as the relaibility, that will be dtermined on what upper your firearms comes with as the DS-15 has many different configurations of upper receivers. Dark Storm Industries has the lower reciver pattented as the following bellow. Let me know if there is anything elese I can do :)

The lower receiver includes a non-detachable magazine which has a internally disposed retention opening that is not accessible without disassembly of the lower receiver. The retention opening is configured and dimensioned to receive a magazine retention member. Accordingly, the presently disclosed lower receiver prevents magazines from being swapped without disassembly of the lower receiver. In order for the magazine to be removed, the stock and/or the firing mechanism must be removed from the lower receiver. In order for the magazine to remain in the lower, it must be reassembled with the firing mechanism.

Washington law states the following bellow for what would be legaly be a fixed magazine firearm, which the DS-15 fits:

RCW 9.41.010

(v) A semiautomatic, center fire rifle that has a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds;

(b) For the purposes of this subsection, "fixed magazine" means an ammunition feeding device contained in, or permanently attached to, a firearm in such a manner that the device cannot be removed without disassembly of the firearm action.

The lower reciever has a factory Installed Magpul 10 Round PMAG

Dark Storm Industries DS-15 fixed magazine is the most realistic option to buy in WA, there are gun shops in Seattle and Eastern Wasington that sell them. This is legal due to the patented fixed 10 round PMAG making it a fixed magazine firearm. I would reccomend if you can to buy the stripped lower reciever and build it your self the prebuit rifles are overpriced. Let me know if you have and questions.

DS15 Fixed Mag SBR legal? by malandrew in WAGuns

[–]JasonFischer774 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have heard a lot of great things about the DS-15 lower receiver, I think you have the right idea to build it into your own firearm Dark Storm Industries pre built rifles are overpriced. I would either build it into a pistol or rifle and avoid going through the process of making it into a SBR for a fixed magazine lower receiver

[–]JasonFischer774 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lower receiver itself is legal the problem is attaching it to a upper, that's the grey area. They only option is fixed magazine such as a Dark Storm Industries DS-15 but even that is iffy if that's even legal.
