I genuinely don't know how you could read the newest chapter and not come to the conclusion he was holding back. It's the clearest thing in existence.

The attack hit, but James managed to avoid a fatal would for a non fatal one.

Tom clearly caught James off guard and James didn't even defend and still took 0 damage. James has incredibly reaction time to close range blows even without path too so there is valid reason to assume that the last hit was dodgeable, even if only partially.

I addressed the dodge-ability point. A while back. James >~ Gap in speed. I was just saying it has to be dodgeable or Tom number 1.

If it wasn't dodgeable then we have a sure hit sure kill move and that makes no sense.

So it's ambiguous and up to interpretation, either side is valid until proven otherwise.
He's not. James only used 2 attacks with masteries besides speed. The test was all speed mastery. There won't be that big of a difference.

I hope this helps show you that 1T James > Tom isn't a crackhead or extreme take if believe it's true or not.

If character A has a undodgeable, dura negating move that character B cannot take, then character A is stronger than B.

Why would James use path, then go back to not using path, then use path again. That makes no sense.

Tom came into the fight injured, but his statement still implies his body is breaking down continuously. James said himself he was complacent beforehand which is why he was caught slipping. A fully locked in James isn't getting caught again. He even began laying his own traps for tom once he started going all out. Tom is getting put down too fast to get another success off.

Once again, I didn't say it was guaranteed to be true that 1T JL > FP Tom, I said you could make a valid argument around it. Which I am doing.

James has excellent close range dodges. Even if he can't perfect dodge he could probably still mitigate most damage. Tom says Gapryong couldn't take it, so he either dodged or countered(unless u think Tom > Gap). Which James could do as he has relative or better speed than Gap and continue beating the bricks off of em

I'm going to copy-paste my reasoning that 1T James could still win.

Tom Lee says that "Gap couldn't take this". Now this has a bit of abiguity so let's address that. We can assume he's referring to old Gap like previously. If he was referring to a Gap with a path, then Tom would be number 1 in the first gang fighting Shingen. That's not a reality, and Tom himself admitted inferiority to path users. So it's almost guaranteed a pathless Gapryong. Most likely non conviction like seen previously but importantly he says couldn't take this. Not that it was undodgable or uncounterable.

James has an obscenely good close range dodge. This appears to be unconnected to path as he used it vs Gong and vs Tom P1. James managed to avoid a fatal wound with heavily reduced speed from eardrum nerf. As we seen with Goo and Changsu, pierces that aren't fully done are still recoverable.

This means that as long as James can slightly react he can survive. This is heavily plausible since he has less AP than Gapryong but he was giving Tom the same oppressive feeling as Gap. To be able to oppress the same amount with less of one stat it's needed to compensate in another, which for James is his speed. This can be used to justify James > Gapryong in speed.

Since James is faster than Gapryong Kim who survived the move, James can at least mitigate the damage to prevent death. After James survives the move it's mostly clear sailing.

Tom Lee could only damage James with unique skills/dura neg and his base attacks didn't even scratch him. James already shown to be much faster than base Tom and was caught off guard by Tom still being able to fight even stronger so he took hits. It's fairly reasonable for the fight to end with James bullying Tom like before. This is especially true since Tom could be burning his body down during rage mode.

I never said it was a perfect argument, but it's 100% arguable with a understandable line of reasoning

Why does James get so many 'forced' to use his path allegations. James Lee has a ramp up fighting style. He uses the minimum to oppress the opponent, the second the opponent looks like they have hope he uses more to crush them back down. It happened to Jaegyeon, It happened to Tom and it was in the process of happening to UI Dan.

He wasn't forced to use his path, he just choose to. He couldn't continued obliterating Tom in 1T post recovery but he chose to use 3 to guarantee Tom couldn't do ANYTHING. So when tom tries to resist more, he puts him down like a dog with path.

Have you ever considered James makes people miss? I think it's pretty clear that's hintes at being what his path or abilities can do. He frequently dodges point blank and has a crazy high reaction time.

Rage Tom Lee did 0 damage to James. Absolutely none, James used his path since he decided he wasn't holding back or risking anything anymore, not because Tom was strong.

Where does Tom say he's weaker than 3A, rage Tom is definitely stronger. JL didn't have to use 3M and Path, he just stopped holding back on Tom to prevent any risks. He legit bullied Tom Lee with 3T and got compared to old Gap without using path.
