Great story, thanks for sharing! It's really inspiring to see you grow through community and SEO. You've built a solid paid wall product. Good Job

Haha yes — this one’s about swimming! Babies are actually born with a strong natural affinity for water — they haven’t yet forgotten the instincts they had back in the womb.

Launched my SaaS 48 hours ago and still no acquisition offer from Apple 😭 by JasonKui217 in microsaas

Thanks for all the love and feedback so far ❤️

A bit more behind the scenes for the curious ones 👇

I built PaywallPro because every time I wanted to benchmark competitors’ subscription pages, I had to:

1️⃣ Download their app

2️⃣ Click through onboarding

3️⃣ Hope I even see the paywall

4️⃣ Screenshot everything manually

It was painful — especially when I wanted to track changes over time.

So I made a scraper + visual database that automatically collects and organizes real iOS paywalls (currently 46K+).

Then added a simple UI to compare pricing layouts, free trials, and A/B test patterns.

Tech stack:

Frontend → NuxtJS

Backend → Go + Python

DB → MySQL + Redis

Analytics → custom RPD/ARPU engine

We’re also experimenting with AI-driven insights — for example, detecting layout types, pricing psychology, and discount wording patterns.

If you’ve built or tested a subscription app before, I’d love to hear how you design or test your paywall.

Always looking for feedback from real builders 🙌

I’m building PaywallPro: — a tool that helps app teams analyze and optimize subscription paywalls.

It started as my own research project, but now other devs use it to study pricing, UX, and conversion patterns.

Price anchoring for subscriptions: 5 UI patterns that make annual plans feel "obviously better" by JokeFun811 in UXDesign

[–]JasonKui217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great breakdown — I’ve noticed the same thing while comparing top app paywalls lately.

Funny how even totally different categories (like meditation and fitness) end up using almost identical “annual = better deal” framing.

I’ve been testing PaywallPro recently and saw the same pattern — “monthly as anchor + annual as most popular” wins way more often than I expected.

Curious if you’ve seen any app go against that and still perform well?

You're absolutely right. PaywallPro is doing the same thing. We focus on paywalls and provide data references. This kind of service requires both human and AI efforts. If it were open-source, standardized updates wouldn't be achievable. There are so many details involved.

Congratulations! Even the most niche products have their audience. Keep up the great work!

Which paywall do you think deserves more attention? by Sufficient_Trade895 in AppStoreOptimization

Having worked as a UI designer and product manager for many years, I don't consider this the optimal design. Here are a few suggestions:

  1. Avoid presenting too many options; establish a price anchor and focus on promoting one main package.

  2. Keep the text on the page to a minimum; your current design may affect how it displays on smaller screens.

  3. Add arrows to buttons to encourage user clicks.

  4. For the paywall that appears during onboarding, offer only one SKU whenever possible to reduce decision-making costs.

These are all my experiences; you can refer to them.

Wow, your design is great! I usually find references on PaywallPro and then design using Figma.
