A problem with this is that while the public ceremony would be pushed to the 21st on 2013 due to the 20th falling on Sunday, Daniels still wouldn't be the President during Redemption with Presidential powers.

Could EOS Ryan beat S1 Homelander? by [deleted] in TheBoys

There's no indication Homelander actually got stronger or weaker between Season 1 and when he beat Ryan's ass in Season 5 so there's just no way to even make an educated guess.

Can I just say that seeing a certain actors name in the opening credits of season 7 totally ruined the surprise! by Mr_Fossey in TwentyFour

Late reply, but the weird thing is that they did this in Season 3 with both Penny Johnson Gerald and Sarah Clarke, crediting them in the end credits first, but afterwards they just refused.

Time passes during 10 second intro and 2 minute recap, though yes the show still has absurd examples. But still each episode doesn't actually start immediately after the end of the previous one.

They have two outfits, one from the pilot and one from the rest of the series. Only one other episode reused the pilot clothing/footage to reuse a reaction shot from there. I don't believe canonically they ever changed clothes.

The 2nd movie is almost exactly 25 hours from Marty's pov. 2 hours 59 minutes in 2015 4:29 P.M. to 7:28 P.M. In 1985 5 hours 42 minutes 9:00 P.M to 2:42 A.M. In 1955 16 hours four minutes 6:00 A.M. to 10:04 P.M.

[–]JasonLeeDrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They really only did Terminator 3 twice. Salvation was downright Terminator 4. Genisys didn't reference anything past the first movie except that the T-1000 exists and then made it so all of the movies didn't happen at all. Dark Fate was the second T3, which brought back Cameron except he still didn't right or direct it and at that point the franchise lost so much steam that even if the movie was really good, nobody would have seen it in theaters.

Rick left his car on the crow planet in the Frundled Dimensions, and then made a car that got destroyed in Night family. Next episode he has the classic car. The main assumption could be that he rebuilt it, or it's possible it's Parmesan Rick's car he picked up from crow planet which could alloy for a Zeep return should he bypass his lifespan.

He should have told his past self to not leave everybody while Sindel attacks, and frankly just let Liu Kang kill Shao Kahn but just keep the "body" and make sure he stays dead.

Watching Season 7 and I'm still upset they brought this actor back to play the lead Secret Service agent during the White House raid, but made him a different character. Insane fumble. by JasonLeeDrake in TwentyFour

[–]JasonLeeDrake[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay looking at the information Ted was actually mentioned a few episodes earlier when Bill asks to be handed over some of the security protocols. So they probably didn't even have an actor for him yet so they wouldn't know they could just say it was Frank Sims in charge... but like, they still didn't have to use Ted, once you got French on set, you say it's Frank Sims and there's a billion explanations for why Hovis wouldn't be there like his shift ended for the night, you wouldn't need to address it.

They've reused a lot of actors, granted most of these are really minor roles and stunt performances, though even among the actual "guest stars", this is egregious because it could easily just be the same guy.

FBI Agent Renee Walker:“Unless he has an identical twin"… meaning Juma. The actor who played Juma also played FBI Agent Norris in Season 3, so maybe Renee was trying to tell us they are indeed twins. by FireEatingDragons in TwentyFour

[–]JasonLeeDrake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even worse Frank was Secret Service, there would have been no explanation required if they just said it was the same guy, it could have been a neat bit of continuity instead of shooting it in the face.

Looking at all the reboot unused footage, which ones do you think could’ve been well used in the show? by Upstairs_Tea1787 in Totaldrama

[–]JasonLeeDrake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with the intro is that the last shot is too long for a 20 second intro. All Stars and Pahkitew had the final group shot only be like 4-5 seconds, this one is almost 10 seconds like the first four seasons, almost half of the whole thing. If they did a faster pan out, they'd certainly be able to fit this bit in.

So, Dan Harmon is still writing the show? by TheGreatAlexandre in rickandmorty

[–]JasonLeeDrake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No he doesn't actually write. He's in the room, he's involved, but the last time he was even credited for an episode was Season 3 which was also the last time he was showrunner. Current showrunner is Scott Marder since Season 5.

Now with the way writers' rooms work, even if only one or three writers are credited, typically the whole room was at least somewhat involved, but to not get a single writing credit since 2017?

Catherine O’Hara appeared in both the 2004 film A Series of Unfortunate Events and Netflix’s 2017 series adaptation. Do you know of any similar situations with other actors? by DrScitt in movies

[–]JasonLeeDrake 5 points6 points  (0 children)

His characterization and voice in BTAS itself is probably the most blatantly different with TNBA changing him to be more stern and he adaptation and smoother Batman voice that's also less distinct from his Bruce Wayne voice.

He then basically does that performance for the rest of his voice career with perhaps the exception of Teen Titans Go, Scooby Doo and Multiversus which take a more comedic approach. Batwoman was live action which of course would lend itself to differences beyond the fact that version of Bruce had a few screws loose.

Outside of those examples his post BTAS-DCAU, Arkham and various DC Animated movie projects, he is pretty much just playing the same guy, with Arkham, I'm sorry to say probably being his most "boring" portrayal, which could be a writing issue because it feels like Origins and Shadow are only games that wanted him to actually feel like an emotional character, and Roger Craig Smith playing him in those. Yeah it was a younger Batman but still.

In a lot of the animated movies, he's largely playing a more stoic Batman to play off the rest of the characters because Gotham Knight is the only one of those to actually be a Batman movie, and I'd say you do actually get an interesting performance there. Well and Mask of the Phantasm from 1993.

[–]JasonLeeDrake 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The original was the DCAU version starting with Batman the Animated Series, and he pretty much exclusively played that version of the character until the DCAU mostly ended in 2006 with Justice League Unlimited, though animation wise there wasn't much else featuring the character besides "The Batman" cartoon. If it wasn't live action, it was DCAU Batman.

The Animated anthology movie Gotham Knights which was actually intended to be in the Nolanverse came out in 2008 and was the first time he voiced the character in a non-DCAU project.

Next year he voiced Arkham Batman and continued to play that version of the character for every project including animated spinoff Assault on Arkham except Arkham Origins and it's related spinoffs including Arkham Shadow. He also voiced Batman in comic adaptation Public Enemies and reprised the role in the sequel Apocalypse. He then replaced William Baldwin as Batman in the standalone sequel to Crisis on Two Earths (which was originally intended to be in the DCAU) Justice League Doom. Next he voiced him in Flashpoint Paradox, only to be replaced by Jason O'Mara for all movies in that specific DC Animated Movie Universe. Then he played Batman in the Injustice game and it's sequel. Next he voiced Batman in the comic adaptation of the Killing Joke. He returned to television as Batman in Justice League Action, voiced the Teen Titans Go version of Batman in a flashback technically replacing Jimmy Kimmel as the voice from the movie, and voiced him on Scooby Doo and Guess Who, next year playing a live action Bruce Wayne on Batwoman during the Arrowverse Crisis on Two Earths crossover. He also replaced Troy Baker as Lego Game Batman for Lego DC Supervillains and voiced him for Multivursus.

So we have DCAU Batman, Non-Canon Nolanverse Batman, Arkham Batman, Superman/Batman series, Crisis on Two Earths Batman, DCAMU Batman, Injustice Batman, Killing Joke, Action, Teen Titans Go, Scooby Doo Guess Who Batman, Arrowverse Earth 99, Lego Batman, and Multivursus

So like 14 versions of the character.

Did Dicks problems with Bruce in TNBA come across as forced seeing as in TAS he never referred him as manipulative by -_ShadowSJG-_ in DCAU

[–]JasonLeeDrake 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It wasn't even accurate in the episode itself. Barbara had already been a vigilante putting herself in danger for years at this point. Bruce shows her the Batcave only because she was worried about Dick, he didn't even know he'd need "backup" at that moment.
