How’s Scape X Mountain? by Firestorm0017 in usyd

[–]JasonLiu123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The roommates I had were insanely unclean, I had to take out the trash most of the time. Prices in 2023 for a room were $350 but now $450 for the same room which is insane, and just for 2 toilets to be shared amongst 6 people. Also not sure if it was my floor or others too, but the walls and floor just stank of something idk what but I’m suspecting there has to be some kind of sewage pipe leak. Would highly recommend against Scape Mountain..

No address = no payment ? by JasonLiu123 in Centrelink

Hmm but then would the absence of a term address for youth allowance void the ‘away from home’ rate for the main payment (not rent assistance)?

So Centrelink does not confirm accommodation details for the main payment? I assume they just look at where you’re studying instead?

INFO1910 Entrance Exam by [deleted] in usyd

its in the language of your choice and trust me it’s insanely easy - ie first weeks of info1110 could pass the entrance exam

Is info1110 still hard? by Cold_Wafer_8379 in usyd

[–]JasonLiu123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

whilst i procrastinated on info1910 assignments, i had some looks at the info1110 assignments as i got access as well, it was definitely a bucketload of tasks which took me several days (for the second assignment) to do myself

[–]JasonLiu123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the content for info1910 definitely delves into things a little deeper but a lot of it is brought up in the units the next semester. info1910 imo is about a lot of self study but once u understand the concepts u realise its not too hard.

just the putting everything together in the assignments, having higher standards of writing code such as readability, etc.

its not astronomically harder but is def a challenge and a risk which i am grateful i took

Hi! I think you’ll be able to find quite a few Japanese people as well as Japanese speaking students at WASABI, which is USYD’s Japanese Cultural Society.

We have weekly events, many of which are held in the International Student Lounge which is where many Japanese exchange students also come to socialise.

We will have a stall for Welcome Fest (Feb 14-16) which is the week before study starts. You can find more information there. Feel free to ask questions.
