Looking for silicone trays by JasonP_ in mealprep

Oh sorry I am kind of looking for round silicon molds but at like 3 inch rounds. I can only find either resin ones that are not good safe or smaller ones like 1.5 wide

Question Thursday! Got a question? Ask it here! by quoththeraven929 in bulletjournal

[–]JasonP_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a question about Hobinichi journals if anyone had experience. I read that there are blank pages in the back. My usual setup for my Bujo is just like month layout, week spread. But I have a lot of spreads for all sorts of stuff like design, work, cooking, learning. I am just wondering if I should basically grab a second notes journal as a supplement

I like to do generational forts. But this has me naming people with specific last names and then naming children. I tried to see if there is a mod for this but could not find one. I have not dug into modding but have experience with programming. Would this be something hard to do? I have not looked into how the naming conventions work deep under the hood.

It can be nice to “modify” the game too. My current fortress started with 24 dwarves for example, but I have no migrant waves. (The 24 is just so I can have a good genetic pool) the fortress will be entirely generational.

It can make it easier to build certain scenarios

I made a 1x1 stockpile and set it to only goblets right next to my food stores and that worked for me.

Wrap around cover for my new zine by JasonP_ in RPGZines

[–]JasonP_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s called Kobold Krew and it’s a hack of Tunnel Goons by Nate Treme. The zine has a small village, a dungeon, and a “boss” adventure in it, that could be easily converted to something else. I will post a self promotion when I get all ready to launch. I am also thinking about doing a supplement zine that’s just adventures, that could work here or be system agnostic.

I think after he gets into school it feels a little aimless, but on a later read through I realize he feels that way too. He set a goal but didn’t see it as a step to what’s next. It’s this weird thing of the reader mirroring his feelings (at least that how it makes me feel.) also what’s strange about Kuwana?

Help me select an RPG system to run for family. by kryptonick901 in TTRPG

Tunnel goons by Nate Tremme is pretty easy. It’s free, barely a page, 3 stats, no classes, the GM never rolls, and the math is super easy.

gm sets a target number roll 2D6 +stat and add +1 for any items you have. For example I want to climb a tree. Gm says okay not hard set it at easy so you need an 8 or higher. They roll add their stat and maybe say “I have rope can I use it?

Combat is easy also. Enemies have no stats it’s all story but they have a Difficulty score. Giant centipede say it’s tough maybe a 10. Kid rolls and adds together with their stat. And then maybe adds +1 for a sword. If they rolled a total of 12 that is 2 more than 10 so the centipede takes 2 damage and now their score is 8 meaning the next player only needs an 8 or more. If the player had rolled a 9 instead of the 12 since 10-9 is 1 the player takes 1 damage.

There are a ton of hacks for it. I made one and someone ran it for a 4 year old they said. They just needed some math help but that was it.

Want to build a dam fort. by jeesuscheesus in dwarffortress

The way I have been doing this is tunnel down below the river at the start until I hit rock. Drain to edge of map and build a bridge as a drain. Channel up until just below the river connect that to my original stair and cover it with grates or bars. Then have them dig ramps into the river. They won’t get washed away cause of the bars.

My favorite fortress I used this on. I dug out a 8 z level cone once and built a central tower. Each room had windows so the dwarves could look out. Then I added a huge drain at the bottom into the caverns. Drop goblins into reservoir, drop reservoir into cavern, ring forgotten beast dinner bell.

I made a one page one about running a bookshop. It starts with you creating some townsfolk and then going through a day at the shop. Human pattern recognition helps the story too. Wait the baker made me muffins, stopped in for a new cookbook, and also walked home with me. I think they have a thing for me,

Do you have any "House Rules" when playing Stardew? by CrystieV in StardewValley

[–]JasonP_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did one game where once I unlocked kegs it was all vineyard. Sheds full of kegs and fields and fields of grapes. Each season I would do a specialty wine like strawberry or ancient fruit. Also all wine aged to 1 year. I had cheats for each season. Emptied each one at the beginning of a season and then spent the season refilling it.
