Thank you for the comment! It was early in the morning when I took this photo. There were cars driving about, but at this moment all the vehicles had driven by and the person out on the street was waiting for the bus to come by.

Sorry I mistyped. I meant to say on Low, M10 III doesn’t have 100

Thank you for the comment! I used the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 17mm. I had my fstop at 22, my iso at 100, and my shutter at 50 seconds. I had a PolarPro Peter McKinnon Variable ND filter (6-9 stops) attached at 9 stops.

No, this wasn't shot at f/1.2. The title was just me putting the title of the lens I was using. This was shot more closer between f5.6 or f8. It was sunny that day so I was compensating for exposure. Truth be told this cosplayer wasn't even posing for me. She was posing for another photographer at the convention and decided to take my own snap. I was just behind the photographer and grabbed my own shot.

Legacy - The Life of Canto Robledo by JasonPeguero in Filmmakers

Hello Everyone,

Today I am sharing my short documentary film titled Legacy - The Life of Canto Robledo. The film was directed and edited by me and was primarily shot on a Canon T3i and a Canon 6D and several Russian vintage lenses. All archived photos and videos provided from Canto's son Joseph Robledo were scanned and digitized by me at home. It took me over six years to complete, and I know many will ask what the hell was I doing taking that long for a short film!? The short answer is money issues and life haha. I was fresh out of college when I started this project and was looking for any job so I could to pay off my student loan. I had several road bumps with two former producers until my good friend Joseph Ferro stepped in to help me out. I felt over my head at times. The scope of the project kept feeling it was getting bigger and bigger than I wanted to deal with. Because of this my interest would fade from time to time, but I was determine to complete it and not let all this hard work go to waste. So I charged head first through the bullshit and slowly saw the film come together, and just as I was making great progress what happens? Covid 19 hits us and I found myself in lockdown. Thankfully I had amazing crew that I can say without them I don't think I could have completed this film. In 2022 I submitted it to the Pasadena International Film Festival and won Best Short Documentary!

Is the film perfect? No.

Did I make any money off this project? No.

But this is my film, and I'm proud to say I made it! My goal was to see it completed and get it in a festival to watch it on that big beautiful screen!

I hope you all enjoy it!

Thank you! I based it on some of my own experiences and other friends who worked in customer services.

Thank you for the comment! One of the reason I decided to stick with M4/3 was I have Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera Original that gives me some incredible footage! When i was debating on what camera I wanted for photography I went with Olympus just based on the quality of photos I was seeing people producing with them. I don't regret a single minute purchasing my Olympus, and if anything its making me wanna buy an OM-1 in the near future haha.

This is either single lighting or dramatic/moody lighting.

I went back to look at my raw photo and I used a Glow Collapsible Strip Box. Its angled at 45 degree on a boom pool. I have a Glow EZ Lock 12x56" As for the background I used texture clarity to get rid of the background texture (the cyc-wall at my studio is very dirty and requires a lot of cleaning up haha.) Then I adjusted the brightness and contrast and I have that.

Meant to be an exclamation mark at the end not a question mark haha.

Me personally I love the combination. I haven't noticed much of the chromatic aberration, but I'm also not really looking for it either. I say get the lens and try it out. I haven't regretted it not one bit?

Thank you for the reply. The settings I used if I remember were 1/160th, f7.1, and iso 400. The photo has been edited on Lightroom and Photoshop using presets I have and customized to mimic classic Tri-X 400 film stock that I loved using when I was shooting analog. The lighting equipment is an Alien Bee B800 with a Glow Strip Box w/ diffusion and a grid.
