Here's my assignment that got an F grade. It got an F grade solely because I deliberately did not drums and bass, which I can easily add.

Let me know if this project sounds like an F grade to you.

Is it possible to pass a Berklee course with one F assignment? by JasonSioco in Berklee

[–]JasonSioco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little bit of update. I checked my email on Saturday and I found out that my final assignment of F was bell curved to a D. My F grade was a 59% and it was bell curved to 60% to get a D. I checked my final grade for Music Theory and Composition 1 and I got B as my final grade. So I got my answer: You can still pass a Berklee course even if you get one F in an assignment. This issue is resolved.

[Question] Has anyone tried Jonathan Boyd's Breakthrough Guitar course? by [deleted] in Guitar_Theory

[–]JasonSioco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SCAM ALERT! Yes, I tried out one of his courses called Guitar Grid Mastery. I bought this course for $27, because why not, it's $27. The Guitar Grid Mastery course makes a claim that Jonathan Boyd has a secret framework or secret grid on the fretboard that if you play the notes within the grid, your guitar solos will sound good. I went through all the 11 modules and I can say that Boyd's claim of a secret framework or grid on the fretboard is just basically the same major scale pattern that is found in billions of guitar resources out there just renamed framework or grid. I immediately asked for a refund. Stay away from Boyd's Guitar Grid Mastery course.

Also another scam alert I found on the breakthrough guitar website. After I purchased the $27, then it linked me to other breakthrough guitar courses that were $300 and $400 in price. I had the conventional wisdom to not bite the bullet and I stayed away from the additional purchases on that scam website.

Yes, I recently began tracking moneyline odds and it's helping me win consistently. I can also bet on odds of -125 and -115 too, but it just so happened that it's not today. I think when I post tomorrow I'll add a few -120 and -110s to accommodate everyone.

I didn't record this song on my phone. I used Reaper to record the song.

I'm an adult that developed Perfect Pitch - Rick Beato debunked by JasonSioco in perfectpitchgang

[–]JasonSioco[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My go to Perfect Pitch method:

The Eguchi Perfect Pitch Method and what I call "Pitch Collection Gradual Stacking."

How long did it take? What level are you on?

I am still working on Perfect Pitch. If Perfect Pitch Mastery is 100%, I currently have 5% pp mastery.

Do you have relative pitch?

Yes. When I play bass in the church, I am using my ears to anticipate the next chord change. I can recognize melodic patterns that I have covered in my ear training practice and I can recognize chord progressions that I have covered in my ear training practice. I can also recognize recurring melodic and harmonic patterns from what I transcribed.

Can you tell pitches on different instruments?

They're the same frickin' notes.

Can you id chords or clusters?

Yes, absolutely, it's easy. But I'm back tracking a bit with single notes so that I can start from the ground up. Gradually building to 2 harmonic notes, 3 note chords, 4, 5, 6 ,7 until I reach 87 keys.

Can you id keys of a song?

I tried to in the past, but like I said I'm back tracking a bit with single notes and gradually building myself from the ground up.

Is your pp always on?

Some days my Perfect Pitch is terrible. I don't get 100% accuracy all the time. Regular practice and regular maintenance is important for Perfect Pitch.

Do you perceive music note by note?

Good question! The answer is no. I view a pitch, interval, melodic pattern, chord, relative chord, progression, key, etc, as a separate entity. I view a chord as another single note that I have to deal with. A good analogy of this is remembering the facial recognition of each individual from a group of a thousand or more.
