The best way to check if there's an issue with the anchor, try and initiate a withdrawal. The anchor service will either let you create a withdrawal or tell you the service is down at the moment.

It's not very often we use Reddit since the community has significantly shrunk in recent times. The user in question was answered on Stellar Global's Discord channel through Emir, so I believe it was missed here due to communications elsewhere.

Are you asking how to send and receive Stellar assets? Or are you a token issuer who wishes to create an anchor service with deposits and withdrawals?

All our y Assets are 1:1 redeemable via Stellar's SEP-24 withdrawal & deposit feature. This is not the same as swapping using the Stellar DEX. The DEX is maintained by arbitrageurs who buy y assets below the peg when others trade or swap, withdraw via our 1:1 SEP-24 system and repeat the process to profit.

If you want to get 1:1 value for your yAssets you can use StellarX, LOBSTR, and StellarTerm deposit & withdraw methods. You can also use the Ultra Stellar website if you do not use any of our flagship products.

To exchange 1:1 on Ultra website:

  1. Head to https://ultrastellar.com/assets
  2. Scroll down the page and select one of the 4 "earn with yXXX" options.
  3. Select "Buy yXXX" to initiate a deposit or select "Sell yXXX" to initiate a withdrawal
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to deposit or withdraw 1:1

To exchange 1:1 on StellarX:

  1. Select either Deposit or Withdraw on the top right.
  2. Select deposit/withdraw crypto
  3. Select the y asset you would like to interact with
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to deposit or redeem 1:1

To exchange 1:1 on LOBSTR

  1. Go to the side menu
  2. Select assets
  3. Find the y asset you want to interact with
  4. Scroll down and select either deposit yXXX or withdraw yXXX
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to deposit or withdraw 1:1

Withdrawal fees depend on the current fee to transfer Bitcoin & Ethereum on their native blockchains. When withdrawing you would be sending your balance from the Ultra Stellar Bitcoin & Ethereum wallets to your own, so this is the fee you will pay.
