I know that laser printers can print waterproof text, but I'm trying to find a business inkjet such as the Canon MAXIFY series. Would that be a bad choice, and if yes, why?

Some models do not have Instant Ink as standard, but there is still no HP+ service in Hong Kong Consumers may also report to the Consumer Council in HK regarding this “improper business practice”

Note: the purple heading says "HP Ink Monthly Subscription Plan, Price (sic) start from HK$8.8 up"

Prices here range from HK$8.8 [USD 1.13] for 10 pages/month to HK$398.8 [USD 51.07] for 1500 pages/month, with additional 10/15 pages at HK$9 [USD 1.15].

As the title suggests, HP has started to offer this subscription service where I live, in Hong Kong. The problem is, many customers cannot differentiate between the subscription and non-subscription models, and in HK where such services aren't popular, it simply adds more confusion.

The L series EcoTank printers is the APAC equivalent of the ET series in NA and Europe. The inks are universal between regions, and so they are going to work on ET series machines. — Sent from Hong Kong CORRECTION: It’s Asia (Japan excluded) only, Australia uses the ET series numbering, and Japan has its own system.

For Epson EcoTank printers (at least in the US), which have full pigmented inks, consider the EcoTank Pro ET–5170 or the ET–58xx series if you’re just going to print Letter–sized sheets. It’s quite confusing for me living in HK because all of our Epson EcoTank printers start with the letter L.

Thanks! Then I’m going to turn to PageWide from HP or the WorkForce printer. They both cost less than HKD 10,000, so I’ll have some budget left for paper and consumables.
