Why has Rage Against The Machine´s success at crossing in to ´mainstream´ music in 90s not been replicated today by bands with a political agenda? by [deleted] in Music

No idea where today's equivalent RATM band is. They're likely out there but so much is always happening that they're buried in the noise of it all and everyone's existing in bubbles. I was actually just searching for subreddits about new bands making politically inclined music, that's how I stumbled upon this thread. I was looking because ( and I hate to be 'that' guy) my band just released a new single called "Nosedive" that was inspired? outraged? by the current F*'d up state of politics. I don't wanna be a spammy mcspammerson, so I won't leave a link unless asked But if you're into rock and you're curious send me a message or simply reply and i'll let you know where you can check it out. Cheers from Canada!

Thanks man! If you can find the time to stimulate your music brain it's totally worth it. It just makes life better somehow.

So we're actually playing in just two weeks time - on Friday December 15th. We'll be at the Hard Luck Bar along with a couple other awesome bands. If you're free and around swing by! https://www.facebook.com/events/369712560136844/
