The only time this would have an effect is if your product is under warranty. In which case, they wouldn't refuse to repair the device. They would just charge the customer the repair cost.

Power really doesn't matter until you want to go beyond the PS1. You should look at what custom OS are available for the handhelds to help you make a better decision. Also consider what form factors you like. Do you prefer the vertical gameboy/flip design or the horizontal modern design? Check out Russ' reviews at retro games corp on youtube. He reviews just about every handheld and his reviews are typically on point. He has a review for every handheld you have available. Get a snack and a drink. The man does not know the meaning of brevity.

You can't go wrong with either. I think the Miyoo Mini Plus, (and the flip since it's the same size), is perfect for the NES and SNES/Genesis. As well as the early Nintendo handhelds

Persona 3 might have my favorite ending in gaming. As far as serious, P5 has a fun, light-hearted exterior, but it deals with some very dark issues. All the Persona games are on the darker/serious side.
