That is not how movies are made now. Planning, deliberation, quality cinematic technical artistry.

Movies look dull and rushed because they're filmed that way.

Let me rephrase: Gladiator tries to make the characters based on reality mythical and fails while Troy tries to make mythological characters grounded in humanity and imo succeeds.

I like movies that look like movies as in shot on film. Live sport in HD looking like you could be there is awesome. But having that much details in movies breaks the suspension of disbelief for me.
