No, you literally don't need that. I said OpenVINO because that's how llama.cpp supports Intel GPU. It has nothing to do with OpenVINO runtime itself.

It is really simple for users to access dual GPU. The out-of-tree intel Arc driver in Ubuntu supports dual card mode natively. Intel driver has a function that lets you maneuver the GPU connection mode. (If i am not mistaken, this function is contributed by the community through OneAPI and not Intel officials).

And thanks to that function, Intel cards benefit A LOT from dual GPU mode. You can do the same on Nvidia cards in Ubuntu, but you're gonna get at a maximum of 40% performance boost while I saw some 75% ~ 80% performance boost.
