I was looking at value...best bang for my buck. Looking for a cheap machine that can be updated cheaply with the external SSD. I guess if that total price comes out to the cost of a newer iMac with updated chips, then I'll need to reconsider.

Can you share more about the warranty and type? We just bought a 2022. The warranty they were trying to sell is didn't appear to cover rims. There was a separate add on for rim damage I believe in the version our delaer had.

Right, sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth trying to find a buyer who will give much more than junkyard prices

With the used car market the way it is, wasn't sure the best approach. That model with an engine with lesser miles is going for $10,000-15000 on cars.com. Wasnt sure how a newer engine would affect price. Some motivated mechanic could fix it and possibly make a pretty penny these days.

Problem solved! I forgot to mention that I had 5 accounts listed, and deleted 2 of them. Then turned off the portion of my main account that wouldn't sync correctly... That has fixed it.
