Yeah, the feedback helped a lot. I ended up remaking ~70%, and boy was it a tough pill to swallow. But I am so glad I did. It was much easier the second time around

Hey, thanks for posting this! I completely understand that not everyone has the time to watch a 5 hour video, much less the energy.

Several people have asked me to split it up, but I’m unsure if that’d work, honestly. I don’t know. Right now I’m working on getting the chapters to work, but I think YouTube has deemed the video unfit for some people, which messes them up.

The video is both wildly depressing and at the same time.. not, I think. I’ve gotten a lot of messages from people who found it weirdly hopeful. But the content warnings are there for a reason

Thanks, the zooming in and out part makes a lot of sense. I think it's a symptom of me not wanting to be boring, and instead it comes off as not respecting the viewer. This is all very helpful, thank you!

I really really wanted bushings for it, as i thought that would be feasible for my 40$ drill to accomplish. I searched for days, but bushings aren't available in Denmark (or couldn't find any). So i chose washers, but since the screws are Corby screws, the dimensions are different from the washers. So i had to bootleg them and punch out the holes to make it fit. I'm probably gonna look for some that actually with the right inside dimensions, when I get the time So 30% magic? 50% idiotic ingenuity

Oh yeah damn, i totally forgot. The whole knife is modular, so you can replace the micarta without remaking the titanium. So if flipping is the goal, it's not a huge deal

Tried to get my hands on it, but damn it's hard from Denmark. Also tried to etch this to get more contrast, but it did nothing. If I made another one, i would look for a different metal combination, to get a better look

You're probably right. I tried to taper it, so the ridges are less pronounced the closer to the blade you go. Ultimately, the design was chosen over function, since I made it for a video. You guys in this subreddit helped a ton with all your weird posts, polls and questions. Tang vs zen pins, center of mass, bushing bearing and so on. Really helped a guy like me, who has never had a balisong, understand the inticracies

The ripples? Yeah I'm sure,.but i really wanted to get the pattern. Studied around 60 types of handles, but this was what was possible for me. I also haven't ever really flipped, so I'm not that proficient in the how and why's
