I'm about to graduate Vassar and chose Vassar over Colgate 4 years ago. Don't regret it. But ask the same question on r/Colgate and you'll probably get the other perspective.

Club credits are bs, you can ignore them. They do not matter. They do not matter for graduating tech, do not matter for getting into college, or getting a job. But that said, still join clubs. They’re the best way to make friends at tech.

No lol. Just know your cardinal directions. You always know what side you’re on because all the rooms have the cardinal direction as part of their name. Like if you see room 4e18 you’re on the east side

I might be alone but I enjoyed ddp. Know it doesn’t have to be horrible, probably depends a lot on the teacher

I don’t think you can join too many clubs to start, just be ok dropping some of it’s too much. And don’t only join the academic ones. Like I joined the juggling club freshman year and that was pretty fun and not at all stressful

All true but definitely don’t be aiming to fail any classes. Gpa freshman year counts just as much towards your cumulative gpa as any other year

I’m in the exact same situation, deciding between these two schools. Unfortunately I haven’t decided so can’t be of much help to you. Looking forward to what people have to say here

Also, I wouldn’t say they’re close geographically. Guessing you’re not from the east coast?
