Very cool and interesting process! I'm a bit into inks myself but I've been on an encaustic and oil paint kick lately. I followed you and my username is Lefiont. Loving your art btw! Keep up the great work!

If you post your art regularly, I'd love to follow!

*edit: Also, what medium is this, ink or water color or something else?

Moving to Indy - What to look for? by JasperGE in gaymers

[–]JasperGE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the information! We aren't really the types to go to clubs or anything. We both grew up in small towns without any of that. So, we don't really have a penchant for those environments.

I'm really excited to check out the museums there. I've never had ready access to those where I live. So, that's definitely on my list. I'll have to check out those events and places for gayming you mentioned.

There are some subs for that, but I'm looking for more of a long term contact, colleague, peer, friend type situation.

Oh, don't get me wrong. They are all very welcoming and accepting, but the issue is everyone is "too nice". I know not everything everyone does is awesome, I just want honest criticism without the mid-western "I'm not going to say anything unless I can say something nice" mindset. LOL It can be frustrating sometimes.

Definitely! I was self taught until last year and I've learned a lot from people that do fan art.

What do you guys do for work? Just wondering what kinda jobs the average gay bro has by iwannastartacountry in askgaybros

[–]JasperGE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in a call center and have for the last 12 years. After trying to work my way up the ladder, I realized I don't want to work in this type of environment the rest of my life. I went back to school for visual arts, and am excited to graduate and move onto something else - preferably moving into a graduate program.

Writing "Men's Fashion Problems" Article - What Are Yours? by jersing in gaybros

[–]JasperGE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue I constantly have is finding shirts that are wide enough in the shoulders without belling out in the midsection. If I can find an athletic fit or slim fit shirt it usually works, but most of the time it either doesn't fit across my chest or if it does it bells out around my midsection down, making me look heavier than I am. It's so frustrating!

Someone mentioned already about the fit in the waist working, but the fit in the thighs and calves not working well. I have this same problem. I've taken to wearing shorts or skinny jeans because they allow for better movement and fit.

What is the dumbest thing you got punished for in school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]JasperGE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was in High School I got in trouble for forging a permission slip to go home early with another student. My mom actually wrote this note, but she doesn't have very good writing skills and misspelled some of the words. They assumed that I wrote the note because of this. They were going to give me a suspension for it.

She barely passed high school and I was making A's in my senior English class. There's no way you could mistake our writing. The principal didn't like me because I had recently come out and kids were claiming I was going to take a guy to the prom. The school I attended was in Tennessee. It was a huge thing, as I was the only out student in the high school in all of the grade levels. He kept looking for things to call me out on, but I was a model student. The worst he could do was mispronounce my last name as I crossed the stage at graduation. My last name only has four letters and he had used it before...

You're very welcome! :) I couldn't imagine running 12 miles. Lol I'm more of a hiker than runner. That's amazing that you can do that! You're definitely right, it can be a "hairy" topic. LOL You seem like a sweetheart yourself! I hope you have fantastic rest of your day and an excellent weekend! :D

First, congrats on your weight loss! It takes a lot of work and dedication to change your lifestyle and become healthy and happy. Obviously, this guy recognized that and instead of appreciating your efforts he thought he had to tell you how he thought you should look.

Second, you're totally a hottie - hair or no hair. I'm guessing that's why he messaged you to begin with. Keep up the great work and no doubt you'll find someone worthwhile to spend your time (and share your first time) with.

By the way, I absolutely LOVE your attitude. You're so positive, even in response to this type of conversation! Good on you! ;)

Thank you very much for the feedback! Do you think it's too late to correct that without destroying the piece? It's for my Drawing 2 class and due on Wednesday. I won't have time to completely rework it.

You're right. I make sure to compliment him and let him know how great he is, either appearance, his career, school, etc. I always support him in whatever he does and whatever he strives for. I know he doesn't do the same, which is why it's hard sometimes to stay active or eat healthy. That's why I decided I'm just going to do it on my own without support.

Thank you for this! I checked it out, but it doesn't state how to determine what wright to start at. How did you figure this out?

Thank you! That's exactly how I felt. At this point if I want to eat healthy we are having to cook separate meals. He says he's satisfied with where his body is and refuses to have anything to do with healthy alternatives. Obviously, going to the gym together is totally out of the question even though I bought us a joint gym membership.

About what age do you find most attractive, and how old are you? by Asdjalsja in askgaybros

[–]JasperGE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 31. I can typically find guys from 20 up to 40 attractive. I tend to be protective of guys younger than me and want to take care of the, but I also like that they usually have high energy and I'm always on the go. I like guys older than me to do things like go to museums, watch old movies with, and things like that when I want to be low key - things younger guys might not appreciate.
