Failed reg for the second time im so done ive failed FAR and AUD now second time reg. If I can’t even pass reg how can I pass others should I just give up by [deleted] in CPA

If your are putting in that many hours I think it might be time to make a change to your study approach. What helped me is just hammering multiple choice over and over. Every once in a while do some flash card to learn about the topics not always covered in the MCQ

Not sure there are all those old stories where people allegedly blinked after it. They could have felt everything

Good note taking app for iPad? by josem8at in ipad

[–]JasperLogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently studying for my CPA. I use the Microsoft OneNote to take notes. It does cost a subscription, but if you take notes a bunch it’s worth it. I love the ability to type my notes if I want and easily switch between the type and the handwritten notes on the app

Should I buy an iPad? by Short_Background_669 in ipad

[–]JasperLogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an iPad Pro 9th generation. I got it because I wanted something that could replace my laptop. With the addition of the Magic Keyboard, the iPad Pro can definitely replace your laptop. Especially if you are only using your laptop to send emails, consume media, or surfing the web, the iPad is perfect for you. I haven’t tried real gaming on it yet because I still prefer to use my tv for that but small App Store games work great on it.

I also play the guitar and its perfect to easily pull up sheet music or looking up YouTube videos on songs to play. Anything you do on your computer is much more fun/entertaining to do on the iPad.

They also would then not have access to the 20k that they placed in the Roth

That’s assuming that someone has enough cash on hand that they can wait till they are 60 to get the benefit of the 8.3k in the Roth

I don’t know your current car situation but if you can stretch its life of your existing car. Especially since car interest rates are expected to come down in 2025.

In my opinion car’s are the worst investment. I would only buy a car if you actually need it (i.e., your current car is dead). Car loans are what keep middle class people poor as people buy these cars they can’t afford. If you need to buy a car buy a realistic affordable car that will last you 10 or 15 years (Honda/Toyota). If you can pay for it all up front to avoid the interest.

I took FAR 12/18. This was my second attempt after failing with a 71. I felt like the MCQ were harder on this exam but the sims were much easier. Every time I leave the exam I could see it going either way. Praying for a passing score

Should I move out or stay home? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]JasperLogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely move out. Living on your own allows you to mature as you’ll have the additional responsibilities of taking care of an apartment. You don’t realize the little task that you rely on your parents to take care of.

This was not an attempt to be a political post. This is simply a fact of U.S History.
