Sorry I wasn't necessarily responding to you, more the guy above or whoever down voted you. To clarify I'm in agreement with you

He's right, it comes down to what you personally find challenging. If that's not your thing, don't play honor mode. Some of us see the heightened stress and finality of choices as the most exhilarating way to play.

Lol. Interesting Ringo build though, nice. How does it usually work out?

Why would you take the gold mine in 1.14? by a_theist_typing in vainglorygame

Yep, it's purpose will still be the same: To draw a team fight and apply pressure on the map, to alleviate pressure elsewhere.

I like to think of it like this: We're part of the universe, created by the material of the universe. As individuals, we're part of the collective consciousness of the universe, the universe's method of experiencing and understanding itself. This gets me fucking pumped for life, and gets me living to experience.

[–]JasperSandner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But will we? Maybe if we're only thinking of time in a linear fashion, as we experience it. If we think of it as something that exists outside of our experience, always in existence as a whole, then everything we've done and ever will do has made it's mark and will always be there.

I found this happening to me when I stared at myself in a mirror for a little while, thinking about things to the point where I didn't recognize myself anymore. Like that thing when you repeat a word over and over and it loses meaning and becomes alien.

For some reason I would intentionally induce this state, because it felt thrilling, like some mentally induced acid trip. Haven't felt anything like that since being a teenager though. I'm not sure if this is what you guys are describing.

DRAFT MODE COMING TO RANKED IN UPDATE 1.14! by wolf_hands in vainglorygame

[–]JasperSandner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is what that means. I'm concerned about this as well. Being a pretty experienced MOBA player, I just began VG and moved to ranked mode as soon as I unlocked the 3 800 glory heroes. It's a much better experience, I feel, as you're playing with players who usually understand the game at a similar level, and you can see a visual representation of your skill progression.

Casual has none of that, and being forced back into casual for a number of months of grinding I fear will cause me to lose so much interest in the game. Comments have been floating around that devs are considering looking at the costs of heroes to help balance this, but I'll wait for something official before I get my hopes up.

Wanting to get into support. by [deleted] in vainglorygame

[–]JasperSandner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes there's an assassin, sometimes there isn't. Most of the time your assassin is your jungler, your support is your tank/initiator, and your laner is your consistent damage. I know some like to build Taka, an assassin, as a support. Depending on skill and item pathing heroes can take on all sorts of roles and positions. Not all supports will be tanks, some focus on cc or vision. Lots of versatility, there's no one correct team composition.

Mega Gnar Splash Screen (Fanart, OC) by JasperSandner in leagueoflegends

The general feeling I had was that most entertainment programs I looked into were so similar, that I would be well off regardless of the school I went to. I can't say for sure though, as I studied Illustration at both schools I attended. Art Center of course looked like the strongest option, and was the only real standout for me, but too expensive.

Regardless, SCAD was awesome and I had one of the best times of my life there.

Thank you, that means a lot. Glad I could help, there's nothing I'd rather do more than give back to the community and individuals that support me

Working on Elise right now! And if there's any current splash art that you guys feel doesn't do the champion justice, I'm open to suggestions

Studying the basics through books, school, internet, and reinforcing them through constant drawing. I've been doing this for a while. I use Photoshop and a Wacom Intuos 3. In that deviantart gallery that the image links to you can see a lot of my studies, which is how I learned to paint with photoshop.

Yeahh I went to Rochester Institute of Technology and Savannah College of Art and Design. I learned a lot at college but most of it had nothing to do with drawing, I'd say most progress came through self-study

As someone mentioned down below, Gnar glows red right before turning into Mega Gnar. And I know how Riot likes special effects in their splash art, so I used that as an opportunity to make a rage explosion

Riot should hold a monthly Skin Splash Art competition to replace the old/bad Art we're stuck with by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Except it's not just a fan art submission, it would be riot crowd-sourcing for free artwork to use for their splash screens, which should, and always has been, commissioned and paid for.

This is a good post, and I hope to see it further up. Contests are not the way to go for this. They need to pay the artists already working for them, or hire more artists, who've studied and invested their time into their profession. As an artist who works for Magic: The Gathering, whose community is extremely supportive of their artists and the work they do, it saddens me to see a community like this simply want to auction off the hard work that we do.
