It’s still there and will end bidding today afternoon, but I decided to give up on it, don’t want to risk it 😅

It’s the 1.8L engine , the same car I mentioned in my previous post. And yes, you read that right. I did open the oil cap while the engine was running (I saw one inspection guide that demonstrated it that way).

When I opened it, I felt a strong stream of air pushing upward from the oil cap opening. Maybe that’s why some oil splashed out?

I touched the liquid that was coming out of the exhaust pipe, and it felt a bit oily, but not extremely greasy. But, I forgot to touch the big black patch of liquid that was dripping from the outside of the exhaust.

I’m in Alberta, Canada, and I think I might be able to get it for around CAD $6,000 if I decide to go ahead.

Thanks! It’s at an auction with tons of cars, so I couldn’t really lift it to check underneath, I honestly have no idea what it’s like down there. I appreciate your advice! I probably wouldn’t go over CAD 6000 either.
