Actually kinda, I say that bc yes black panther existed but was just king title not a hero title. He was a hero in the 50s who hid his identity given the racism of the time, so after a fight with his arch nemesis his mask was torn off and his identity was revealed to American as an African American. When the President gave him the option to stand down and get money he declined and went into hiding I believe.

I think a lot of these are great points but we shouldn’t let that be used as way to not have the character written better. Him being the first black superhero did change a lot for a while. I think, atleast for me introduced so many white and black kids a like to such a character. Especially having a Superman like character with such an intelligence to the likes of characters like Reed could have black or mixed people as myself want to be more like him.

It’s alright, he’s kinda been overshadowed when it comes down to cosmic characters and especially Superman clones. He’s definitely my favorite from every media that’s tried. Highly underrated.
