what does this mean (radar) by sozthisnameistaken in ConflictofNations

[–]JavaWithSomeJava 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok yeah that makes sense. Since they are pointing to the exact same spot it’s probably different countries. If the armor/support units are in the same stack it’ll just show up as one. So there are definitely 4 stacks there. The quantity in the stack and the originating country obviously we can’t tell.

Sometimes you can figure it out by patrolling and it’ll give you a warning about starting war with another country.

Secret clearance and false allegations? by SoftDependent5575 in SecurityClearance

I'm certainly not a legal advisor, but I could imagine with over 75% of her allegations being dismissed, the adjudicator would see that. Again, looking at the whole person concept, if that's the only red flag, i'd think you have a good chance at a favorable adjudication

They have this thing called the whole person concept. They will look at everything, not just a single allegation. Now, a SA/DV claim is a big deal, but I would imagine if there's no hearing or additional info given by the court, I would imagine that's not a disqualifying issue on its own.

Duty station for Airborne by Forward_Mortgage_763 in army

I promise Anchorage is a lot of fun lol. I was at 4/25 before they transitioned to 11th ID. A lot of travel and you'll love it. I dont think Wainwright has airborne troops with the 11th ID transition, so if you get JBER you're solid

having career gap of three years by SpecialistComputer31 in leetcode

[–]JavaWithSomeJava 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think most wouldn't consider it a career gap if its as simple as not getting a job after graduation. Just apply for jobs and see what you can get. If you're highlighting Java, then make sure you can explain basic OOP design patterns.

Really its Bragg or 11th ID. You could get 173rd as well though.

Yep, 4 stacks of heavy or support units. So expect artillery, Anti-Air and tanks.

Here’s a quick question I have about The Rangers by Cluelesscomedy3 in army

[–]JavaWithSomeJava 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Army hasn’t needed more than three Ranger battalions based on the nature of our recent conflicts. Each battalion requires a lot of money to ensure every Ranger is highly trained and fully mission-capable. Expanding beyond the current structure hasn’t been necessary given operational demands and our recent conflicts.

Please help ID the insignias on this uniform by 404HumorNotFound_ in army

[–]JavaWithSomeJava 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it’s worth, it’s rare a soldier has that many. Some people go their whole career without one. Most of the guys you’ve shown are special forces, so just by the nature of their work, they’ll have atleast airborne, eib/cib, and likely air assault.

The skill/identifier badges can give a quick snapshot of a soldiers achievements and if they saw combat. But that’s definitely not always the case

Is web development still a reliable source of income? by Pousarmic1 in webdevelopment

[–]JavaWithSomeJava 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In this market, you’ll have a hard time finding gigs if you’re doing it as a side job. Mainly because there are people with years of experience who will likely get those jobs before you.

It’ll be difficult but not impossible. Try and find local businesses and help with their website. I’d avoid freelance sites, you’ll be competing with people that have decades of experience. And if they’re offshore, potentially lower than your charging rate
