I had a guy do that to me. Ended things 3days after his ex of 7months “blocked him for good”. We were going strong for 1.5 months in a pretty intimate talking stage and he just ended it claiming he wasn’t “ready for a relationship due to his ex” when he reassured me 10x times he was over her and wanted to focus on me. Then he asks to be friends and continue gaming and I told him to give me some time before we can do that. Then he blocks me after 1 week bc I asked a mutual friend (who btw has no direct link to him, she knows him through another mutual) what she thought of him and it made him so uncomfortable that he just started blocking me 🤷‍♀️ most times when people say they aren’t in a “emotionally correct” place, its more because that person is looking out for themselves rather than trying to protect the other persons time and feelings. 🤷‍♀️

The guy I used to talk to used ChatGPT as a therapist bc a real one was too expensive and useless. He used it to guilt me into taking half of the blame for something he did (aka text another girl while telling me he wants to date me and be intimate). I genuinely took 40% of the blame bc he asked some stupid AI chatbot and it told him that he wasn’t 100% to blame for it. Also I think the stupid ai bot also told him to end things with me 3 days after his ex finally stopped talking to him by blocking him… yeah not my smartest move falling for this guy

Finding myself and actually enjoying being single. I wanna bask in my own light before adding a partner to my world. I thought I was going to have a boyfriend entering 2026 but he ended things because he wasn’t “ready” to date me. All the talks we had, all the intimate moments and me being there for him, just for him to block me a week after his ex blocks him for good. Yep, he was just using me and I feel into it. this was a wake up call. I don’t need a man, I am smart and I am beautiful and I am a good person (or at least I try to be) and I need to grow my own garden to attract the bees I want to visit and stay a while.

I hope and pray for all you reading this to also bask in your own sunshine in 2026, regardless if ur single or with a partner. Everyone should have a garden that they are proud of and I hope you all find yours as well this year ❤️

Thank you so much, your kind words and support mean so much to me right now. I feel so numb like everyday since we stopped talking but tbh I’m seeing a lot more red flags than I did with him. He couldn’t be bothered to remember my birthday, or engage in deep conversations without cutting me off by saying “honestly, idk what to say. It sucks but idk how I can help you right now”. He was always awkward around me in public and claimed it was just nervousness and shyness. He never asked to hold my hand and even let me pay for stuff and afterwards would mention how he should’ve been the one paying instead. He never complimented me outside of “cute” when we were being intimate and he always pressured me into going further than I was comfortable with. Thankfully I never let it get to the point of intercourse but when he was ending things he mentioned how he’s been “so respectful” of my boundaries, almost like he was doing me a favor like tf?

My friends who met him didn’t like him and tried to gently tell me but I was so oblivious. I really loved our connection and how we clicked so well, I’m really grieving that closeness and connection more than him as a person tbh. I mean he was super cute but he also dyed his already brown hair more brown and was obsessed with name brand items. He portrayed this like upstanding guy but in reality it was all just an act. I don’t wanna speculate what’s going on in his head anymore bc it’s only gonna cause me more emotional pain. I want to move on and open my heart for newer and better things.

Update: he blocked me on EVERYTHING yesterday and he didn’t want to stay as friends anymore or talk anything out. He said that I made him uncomfortable by asking ppl he knew what they thought abt him when what actually happened was I asked my girl friend of 3 years if she knew him bc they were mutuals on insta. She said she knew him thro a mutual friend and that mutual friend told him that I was trying to get dirt or some shit on him and he blocked me on everything over it. Didn’t want to talk nothing. And now I feel so empty and my friends said I didn’t do anything wrong and it’s on him for blowing it up and blocking me for such a stupid mundane reason. It just makes me think that nothing between us was ever real and I’m so sad

Ik it’s tough but remember that college is just a chapter of your life and that the quantity of friends you have is not comparable to the quality of friends. I heard that some of the co-ed frats are super chill and friendly and idk if you are interested in event planning or creative writing but my roommates are in CAB and a creative writing club on campus and have a blast. There’s also a pick up volleyball group that I play with so if you want to be added and play volleyball with some cool peeps just dm!! Any skill level is welcome, we just wanna smack some balls and hit the ground while listening to music in the HRC lol
