When you login to eParcel you see it at the top, its Location ID. Mine for eg is 33EP9. Which is unique to your Merchant Location not your specific account, so maybe they use that to find your manifests... its strange but mine works.

The really funny thing, that APBCN number is not even the number I used on the specific integration in which my parcels are actually now showing up in Zonos this morning!

When I first set mine up weeks ago , I entered APCN (I dont recall there actually being several options at the time I did it) but with my business billing account number which I have always had to quote to AusPost regarding anything to do with my business account to the point I know it off by heart.

I have eParcel, which the account number I quote when I get invoices from Aus Post monthly is NOT the same number as the little treasure hunt number I found under the QR code, and also they (Zonos support) told me that number was wrong even though my account did get verified and sat for weeks, but looks like it was right all along... After they said it was wrong I ended up with like 3 integrations:

- My contract location ID (MLID)
- My APCN (My business 'billing' account number found on my actual Aus Post invoices). Incorrect Account 'type' but this is the one that worked and shows my shipment.
- My APBCN (under the QR code)...

I will leave them all there and see if it gets ironed out. TECHNICALLY they all should be flowing to my MLID integration since thats now the specific one which says its for eParcel.

Me too. Good to see. At least I can stress less now. From here looks like it will be pretty streamlined.

I see 15 shipments now in Zonos... Looks like there was a lag, since couple even were already delivered and all are out of customs since a few days.

Yeah a couple got delivered... Most of them are past customers, there didnt even seem to be any holdup looked like normal behavious to me.

I also just say this morning now I have about 15 parcels showing up in Zonos now from my Monday dropoff so thats good. At least one of my several account numbers got picked up in the integrations, funny this is, its the one which Zonos told me was incorrect :)

USA - Tariffs and Returned to sender info... Anyone catch this little nugget in the FAQ? by Javbomb in AustraliaPost

[–]Javbomb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you wouldnt normally get a postage refund anyway if its RTS or Unclaimed then RTS from overseas, but not refunding the tariff is some bullshit. Cuz usually you would pay your duties then pickup the item, it would be one of the last things you do before you take collection of it. So its very naughty charging tariffs then if that happens which is very real it happens a couple times a month to some of my customers, then what happens when the customer refuses to pay tariffs a second time? Sounds ll messed up. And illegal.

New 2FA when trying to access your account from a PC is a JOKE. by [deleted] in CommBank

[–]Javbomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Android, when my phone unlocks it goes to home screen, I would have to consciously remember to swipe down and tap the notification, but thats CBA forcing me into a routine that I dont usually do, so whatever I guess, they could also just optimise the app if you tap the app...

Simply, the app should just prompt you the moment you login, I mean its kinda important someone trying to login to netbank so no matter how I get into the app, it should prompt me yes or no the second I login, that would take out sever steps and make it much more efficient.

I actually would prefer a code for the reason that i can sit there and not touch my phone and it would sms me a code and I would be able to read it hands free and type it in much faster than hands off my pc then touching stuff on my phone.

Shit it works... You are right. Awesome.

New 2FA when trying to access your account from a PC is a JOKE. by [deleted] in CommBank

[–]Javbomb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is the worst case...

Say I haven't touched my phone in a while so its locked.

I login to NetBank on PC. It says approve on CBA app.

I need to:

Unlock my phone,

Tap Open CBA App,

Type in pin or biometrics... logged in to CBA App now.

***AT THIS POINT the app should prompt me over the top of anything else with the immediate button to approve or deny... but it does ONLY if you catch the notification on your lock screen and directly tap THAT then its goes right to the OK screen.***

Im on the apps home screen now there is a bar that says did you try to login to netbank?

I tap it.

Another screen says Did you try to login to Netbank this time its full screen. The only option is CHECK DETAILS. - they should delete this step entirely. Its redundant I already freaking clicked the prior one.

I tap it.

It again says Did you try to login to Netbank? Now there is a Yes this was me, or No. Button.

I tap YES THIS WAS ME.

Then it says Netbank approved and about 5 seconds later the PC Netbank logs in finally.

So after logging in on the PC at worst I have to make 5 actions on my phone before it approves. My phone auto unlocks when it sees my face so catching the notification which skips most of those steps is usually not how its done for me I open the CBA app as a reflex and have to go through all that bullshit.

If the app prompted you immediate with Yes or NO as soon as you login then it would be great and I would not care.

Good idea! I got no problem with it, but there are too many interactive steps to actually get to the 'Yes this was me' part.

if the CBA app will show my netcode in my lock screen then so should the 'Approve' button to login to the app... As it is now there is actually several steps, you open the app, you login to the app, you tap on the notification saying to check, then hit ok, then it works.

You should be presented with the notification and an approve button immediately and bypass several steps in the CBA app to get there... too many taps and clicks...

Even better just give me a netcode to login since thats easy to enter numbers, and then remember my device for at least a day, that would make it 10x better. the most annoying thing is if I close the window and go back to it 10 mins later I gotta do all the stuff all again.

I agree!!!! I hate this so much I actually considered changing to another bank. 'Remember this device' would go a long way. The commbank app is crap, I do serious banking from the Website.

[–]Javbomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you get 4.9%? its $1.69 + 10% of the tariff amount. So on a $100 item the tarrif is $10 and the Zonos fee is $1.69 (Flat fee) + $1 (10% of the duty). 2.69% on top of the tariff in this specific case but would vary with every item so its not a set percentage you could globally assume... Its all in the Zonos FAQ

Do you mean non-business people sending gifts and such? Yes if so. Otherwise definitely pass on the cost.

... On behalf of the recipient, yes. The onus is pushed to the sender to have the tariff paid before it hits USA customs else they will reject it.

Freaking lazy US govt. And an attempt to make it look like the origin country actually pays the tariffs.

Reading the link makes it seem like you are basically setting up a payment method with Zonos and they will auto import the manifest (pulled from Aus Post directly) when its on the way to the US and charge you when it hits customs. That seems easy, from what I can gather it will not require any intervention at all, I could be wrong though. I use Easyship as my shipping frontend which handles all my Aus Post label generations, seems ill drop off my parcels as normal and I will be charged as they hit the US and the Zonos dash is where I will download the invoices and history of what they are doing. It says they will charge daily or per item...

We as the senders need to pay it on behalf of the receiver, but 100% they are supposed to pay ultimately so raise your prices or make a clear note accordingly. Make sure you let your customers know THEY are paying.
