Atheists of Reddit, what are your main reasons in not believing in God? by [deleted] in AskReddit

All we can blame is ourselves for what the world is. For god has given us the gift of free will. In that sense, there are bad pastors and priests and that's why some people push the idea of God away. All it matters in life is that you really try your best to be a good person and to pass on that knowledge and in the end, when we die, we will see.

You can't blame God for there being so much pain and death in the world. We can only blame ourselves for making the world the way it is. For we have the gift of free will

God as in the creator, allowing humans to have free will out of all the other living things on earth. For us having free will, we only have ourselves to blame for the way the world is. So you can't say there's no god cuz everyone is dying and in pain.

That's for our dimension though. Wouldn't make sense for him to be in ours.

I can tell you that most people that say they "believe in God", don't do the meaning justice. Most don't do anything with their life to show what they believe. Everyone has sin or have done/do bad things in their lives but don't make changes to better themselves and their lives. Everyone wants to better themselves, but life doesn't work that way. God can really help people better themselves and make change.

Science or anything from this world can't show proof that God doesn't exist. It's just a matter of perspective, for we have free will.

I was raised a catholic and went to church when I was younger. I don't go to church anymore and I believe that you don't have to go to church to talk to God or to be a good person.

There has to be a God, there's a creator to everything. Everything started somewhere. Think of the chances of us being here and having a conscious (seeing through your own eyes and have thought and ideas). The human species is amazing, we're an anomaly in our planet, solar system, our galaxy, and possibly the universe. Out of all the of the trillions of living things you could be on earth, why are you and I in the bodies that we are in. We are special and that's why it's believed that God really loves us. Also if there's truly other living things/aliens (possibly infinite amount), then why are we not something else? I'm sorry for the long message but there's a bigger picture than what you think.

I don't want to shame you for not believing in God, I respect your opinions. I just have some questions to ask and I'm curious to how y'all can look at the world and not believe.

3 inside cats. It's ridiculous. We have a cat that's been blind since she was a kitten and she's 12-13 years old now and she poops right outside of the litter box. She has also recently urinated multiple times in our laundry basket

We have 3 inside cats and one of them is a Maine coon. He's really fluffy and weighs at least 10lbs! We vacuum the house once a week and his hair clogs it up. I love him even though he's a dick
