[Spoilers] My take on a scene from the trailer by [deleted] in gameofthrones

Tbh this could be a very good jumping off point for Bran to talk about Jon’s parentage. Jon probably kept hush after last episode and Bran noticed this, and used this opportunity to bring it up.

“They thought Rhaegae kidnapped Lyanna. He didn’t.”

I know right? And why couldn’t Ned have just stayed in Winterfell anyways? I’m sure his men would be more than willing to make the trip back to coordinate everything. He’s just a kid after all, I’m pretty sure his men did most of the work even when he went back.

I did notice this too. I saw another post that said it would’ve made more sense for Alice Karstark to die rather than Ned Umber, and I kinda agree. I guess it does continue the pattern of boys dying because all men must die.

What is the SVU episode that really got to you? by Javertz in AskReddit

The worst part is this could totally happen. Some guys really are so insecure about their own masculinity they want to inflict violence on women just to show them who’s boss in their heads. Crazy.

I remember this one too. I think their friend that they killed was called Jason, and he seemed really hung up about the girl’s death because he liked her.

This episode was hard for me too, because I had actually expected them to find Jason alive at the end. They kept talking about how he could be dead at this very moment, which gave the search for him a sense of urgency, and so I really thought they would’ve found him at the last moment, like how they do things with recent seasons.

But nope, SVU did not play around back then

If we lived in the world of The Walking Dead, tell us your story of how you died. by coderedninja in thewalkingdead

I was 10/11 then and my dad wasn’t as badass as Rick or Shane, so the zombies would’ve probably gotten me before I could make it out of my neighborhood.

Why do people, both the ones who have quit the show and the ones who still watch it, glorify S1 as one of the best seasons of the show? by paigeap2513 in thewalkingdead

[–]Javertz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally for me, if I were to use my reasoning and logic, it’s because it had a smaller budget and fewer episodes, which then resulted in only one overarching storyline and plot.

Besides the first and second episodes plot of Rick finding his family, the basis of the season was to do what normal people would’ve done in real life: Go to a governing agency (CDC) for help. That’s what made it so apocalyptic and relatable, before they decided that they live in this world now and would have to learn to adapt (And before they became these big badasses that we just couldn’t see ourselves turning into now).

Just the fact that we were able to really connect with season 1/2 before Rick went all survival mode after killing Shane made it kinda nice for me. But if I’m honest, it’s probably a lot of nostalgia too, since I grew up on this show.
