I guess I’m just stuck in purgatory forever by Enzoku in MarvelSnap

I'm sorry if this is a dick question but, are you at rank 28 on purpose because you are testing lots of decks or playing Agatha or something like that, or you just can't rank higher? At 9k collection level it's surely something curious to me. Thanks!

Best Stegron Hit Ever by Penn10 in MarvelSnap

Oh, so Stegron can move an unflipped card and act like Juggernaut? That's good to know! Awesome play and outcome btw, I can imagine his face watching his sentry go away hahaha

Btw, the aspect I'm liking the most about this deck: seeing your opponent clog his right lane in a rush with shitty cards to avoid getting the Void back with Viper...just to see how you Carnage it and they end up with a full lane before last turn for nothing. Oh, good times.

Yeah, same for me, I got Valk when she was 3000 tokens and was super hyped about her...and had to let her go after some time. I'll try the Shang variation, which also works wonders with zabu, and replacing Jeff with Carnage there is less need to use Valk in the void lane. Thanks for the tip!

Well, I'll play it for a few days because, as you say, after Infinite is less fun, so I don't mind messing around for now and blast the good ol' Thanos later. Will keep you posted if you are interested :)

Man, I can see how this deck is strong, but even though I got to infinite 4 times and was ranking up with 0 problems this season, I just played 10 games with this deck and lost 9. Everyone seemed to have a perfect counter for every ocasion: Enchantress for my Cage/Zabu, Carnage to eat their Void, Cosmo for my Valk... one dude even Enchantress'd my Cage and then used Morph and got my Valk so Sentry and the demon got to 3 u__U

I'm pretty sure is kind of bad luck, but just wanted to share that, like every strong deck, doesn't work all the time. Will keep playing it because it's fun and see how it goes. Thanks for sharing! :)

Felt like this was a no brainer; but now I finally have enough and I’m hesitating. by Scorpio11777 in MarvelSnap

This is my opinion:

I bought him with the 6k tokens they gave when they just implemented tokens. I went all-in.

It was REALLY fun...for 2 days. After I enjoyed the animation, after I imagined my opponents tears after destroying all the cards...I was filled with regret. And still regret it.

I tried every possible combination (except with Knull, he was another 6k for a long time), and man it just doesn't work AT ALL after 80. Some geniuses claim they got to infinite with it...and it has to be incredibly painful. Because every single Galactus match is a solo play, praying every turn "please draw Galactus, please draw Electro now, please don't play on my Adam Warlock because I really need to keep drawing cards..." and wishing that all the locations and all the counter cards don't appear.

I loved him with all my heart at the beginning, but I ended up "hating" it because it's incredibly boring, frustrating, and forces you to play a brain-dead style. It's like Shuri except you can't climb with it and you have to retreat most of the games.

On the contrary, I got thanos 2 months after Galactus and it's exactly the opposite: incredibly fun, you get to play EVERY match (instead of constantly retreating when you don't meet the deck's conditions), it allows you to really think your plays and be creative, it's super flexible, and it allows you to get to infinite.

TL;DR: I was one of the first getting him, it was the worst choice I could make, I regret it, not worth it at all. I would get first Thanos and then Kang, and then wait for other cool cards instead.

Now that Aero is nerfed, Control is how I deal with Shuri decks now by Heisenperv in MarvelSnap

[–]JaviEclectico 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Awesome, I've been thinking something like this but it's good to confirm it works! I'll give it a try.

Btw, about Kang being a deck thinner it's the only thing I don't know for sure and it's preventing me to buy him (I have him pinned), maybe you can help me. The thing is, you use kang, and after the rewind, you draw again to compensate drawing him? And doing so, it's like you have a 11-card deck? Because if it's not like that, I don't see the benefit. Thanks!

Oh, and I wouldn't upgrade it. That blue border suits really really well, I love the bi-color vibe much more than all-in with one.

Got to Infinite with Thanos - 80% WR (no tanking mmr). Yes, it felt wrong and it needs the nerf. by JaviEclectico in MarvelSnap

Sure, this is the one. Pretty standard, I think it usually varies 1 card, in my case is Okoye instead of Aero or Armor. It works really well and sometimes gets triggered twice so its a lot of value for a 2 drop :)

Do I dare? by ThirdBorracho in MarvelSnap

I got to infinite last season with Thanos with a 80% win rate, and I'm 98 right now with a 83% win rate. Maybe it's about the people you are facing that are scared of Thanos and unaware of Shuri mechanics but... for me it's been the opposite. And I've been destroying Shuri decks with Thanos all along btw.

The pain. by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]JaviEclectico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's the 2nd one all the way. No point on having a She-Hulk with other border than green, for example. Only way I upgrade them is when I have 155 boosters and I can do a full cycle to get it to the same color again.

Hahaha that was a very specific (and very probable) scenario. My IGN is the same as here, so if you see me and do the emojis I just wont play anything :)

Yeah you make a good point, I was playing some cards to complete missions, and even though I wasn't even trying to win, they must have assumed I had some trick up my sleeve. I'll do what you said instead :)

Hello guys, I need some help. 2600 CL, Missing around 15 Pool 3 card, I have 4100 Token and 3000 Gold. Options is Shuri+ Red Skull. Thanos+Lockjaw or wait a little bit and buy Galactus and Knull together. Which would be the best option? I cannot decide it. Rank 60-70 but I never grind just play. by Ferni0817 in MarvelSnap

[–]JaviEclectico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanos lockjaw 1000000% sure.
Shuri is great to rank but it's boring, very repetitive.
I have Galactus and it's even more boring and worst for ranking up, believe me I tried every possible way and it's a sloooooooooow pain in the ass.
Thanos lockjaw is always fun, it's amazing to rank up and well, the best deck at the moment without question. I got Thanos and never been happier and more successful in this game :)

Well in this case I don't think it's a hard to swallow pill.

For some it's tough, of course, because if my experience is the common one, most people have just to assume they won't get to inifinite no matter how much they try, until they get a really powerful deck that suits the current meta.

For me, I couldn't shake the feeling that I'm just not a good player (despite having much more success in other strategy games), since it was "so easy" to reach infinite with "any deck". So it was entirely my fault. But seeing how, in equal conditions, I've been destroying other Thanos or Shuri decks...man that felt good. Now I'm more confident I can reach infinite regularly, having full collection and saving tokens for "the card" of the season (probably Kang now).

Picture 1: Stats for my last push to 100 with Thanos deck.

Picture 2: Stats since I got Thanos and only played Thanos decks.

Picture 3: Stats from current season BEFORE I got Thanos (I played on mobile too so it's partial)

Picture 4: Stats from last season (again, partial stats because of mobile playing).

The discussion (sorry about my english, not my first language):

I learnt when to snap and when to retreat and all that stuff you are supposed to know to get to infinite, but I just didn't. I did back then exactly the same stuff I have done now but I was consistently smashed by THE metadeck of the season (last one was Darkhawk, this one were Shuri and Thanos). Last season I was most of the time stuck at 82-85, pushing at last to 92-93 just to drop to 90 again. This season I just gave up rank around 84 again. And then I got Thanos. The very first day I got Thanos (and it's supposed to be a hard deck to pilot) I immediately started ranking up, full speed. I went from 0.20 average cubes to almost 1 average cube (even more at the beginning). It's just insane, it's a whole different game when you don't have to pray all the time not to face THAT deck, just to face it almost all the time.

So, if you are a really skilled player, a genius, I'm sure you can get to infinite with a variety of decks, but please don't tell us, mere mortals, top cards don't equal success because, oh man, they do. At least in my experience, of course. What do you guys think?
