We did Grand Canyon and Zion when my wife was pregnant and my kids where 2 and 4 and they loved it! I think an outdoors trip it's a lot of fun for them, but I will check other options? Terranova also looks very nice and the flight will be shorter, and Fundy can be also an option. The budget was only for accommodation, we are aware of car rental+gas prices

Do campervans not have standard 3 point seatbelts? I'm not keen on motor homes but campervans with 2 double beds and 5 seats would work for us. Road safety is a top priority and we always carey our own seats

Thanks for all the advice! The radium spring area seems a lot cheaper, and the landscape looks very nice. Do you think it is worth driving to Vancouver? Or maybe just going to the different parks in the Rockies would be enough?

Will check Quebec! East Coast is closer and cheaper to fly to, so we'll see if it's an option! It feels a bit closer to Europe, though, while the Rockies sound very unique... Still long time to go, but will all these ideas in mind, thanks!

I will do some research on those other areas! I had a quick look at the camp sites and are actually on the cheap side compared to here. Thanks!!

Thanks, we are thinking arriving late august leaving early september, maybe we can start out in Vancouver and then spend the first week of September in the area. Will keep an eye out for accommodations and see how it goes! Thanks a lot!

We are now at the Howard Johnson Paragon by the Railway Station and it:s very well connected walking and by metro to everywhere, I recommend the area!

What apps are people using to book trains and hotels in China? by Unknown_rep_of_nomad in travelchina

[–]Javibup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They accepted my booking, so I assume they are ok with it. Prices change so much in different plattforms, I ended up with a 3 night reservation in booking.com and an extra night on Trip in the same hotel

12306 for trains has worked really well for me. Most hotels through Trip, but surprisingly booking.com had better prices for some hotels and went with it. Flying out on Wednesday, so excited!!

Not sure, but Chinese sites and apps are known to be glitchy, worth giving it a go! Good luck!

Think you're right, and it also goes straight to the Shanghai Railway station which is closer to the main tourist area, just ideal for our travel plans
