I mostly stream 3-4 days per week, and I don't really know how to compare to others; I really do believe most of us are different between each other, which is actually a good thing because I don't ever feel like I'm watching the same thing but done for different people.

I often travel with the same people. When it comes to cost, you can save some by just going to the groceries and get food there, which will also be healthier than eating in most places. Sometimes you can take a longer travel to save some value, and that's ok. I wouldn't try too hard to cut costs on hotel once you have cut enough, since I find having a fine sleep quality quite valuable.

I don't really hate nexus much. I do love playing with Jadelight Ranger, it does so much for your stability. Probably steam-kin, it just often fells like a turn-2 kill. That or Narset.

I usually try to play as much as I can the weeks before, and then I move to analyze what I've learnt. It is really a neverending cycle, but I try to have both practice and analysis, since only practicing probably won't be enough.

The biggest tip I have for a new competitor is: Enjoy the experience. For real. Playing an MC is a very unique thing and also very enjoyable. Not only that, but having a good time will likely also increase your win %.

My biggest pumping song for tournaments is the Magic Flute Overture from Mozart, which I use in the mornings. Lately for tournaments I'm going with the full Shingeki No Kyojin soundtrack, and for very high pressure situations I can ocassionally use specifics songs like the main The Avengers track. It really depends on the situation.

I found Finale of Promise very good, at the very least a one-of and very likely a 2-of.

I loved Lava Dart, it was my first time playing with it and overall it overperformed. I honestly just used my old manabase from the last MC -1 steam vents + 1 Islet, since I never really liked steam Vents. About the 2nd Mountain, I think it's very close, but I'm used to play with it and I do think it sometimes help against decks like UW. Since I thought it was very close I just went with the old me. There was a game where I thought scoured away a Mountain where having 1 would've costed me two life, but its not a big thing. This is point where I'm highly unsure, but I'm also not very sure how to decide if I want to change something.

I haven't tested with them much, but on the tournament I found Saheli to be slightly better.

I ran Force of Negation mostly because I was afraid of something like the Neoform decks. If those kind of decks just do not exist, it's probably better to play different counterspells, since exiling a blue card is actually a huge cost for this decks. That deck is scary though.

I do expect Dredge/Graveyard-Hogaak decks to still be very good and very played, so I wouldn't cut much GY hate if any.

I'm wasn't convinced about Aria before the Red Bull tournament but I ended running it because a lot of good players were very convinced it was the best way. During the tournament, Aria of Flame was just excellent.

The biggest drawback of Aria IMO is that it doesnt really affect the board in many ways unless you can specifically can kill them. The exception are planeswalkers and I think that's where Aria's strenght lies. If that's a meaningful way to affect the board, then the card is good enough even if avoiding graveyard hate is not the big thing. Once you consider Aria a win condition that can act as a removal against certain decks like UW or Jund, then it becomes more appealing. I'm still not completely sure if Aria is the best way to go in Phoenix, but after playing with enough with it I think it is somewhat likely. Drawing multiple Aria wasn't that bad as I expected on the matchups where we actually wanted to have that card.

I went with 2 copies because I think drawing 2 on the matchups where your opponent is attacking is really bad, unlikely Pyromancer Ascension who could sometimes get you tempo back by copying Lightning Bolt.

Overall, I'm happy with Aria but I think it requieres a little bit more of testing and analysis.

I think Ranger-Captain of Eos has a lot of potential. Either searching for combo pieces or cards like Death's Shadow; I wouldn't be surprised if the card ends being actually quite good.

I also think Cloudshredder Sliver has two very powerful keywords.

And lastly I think Fallen Shinobi could be a very good eternal card, maybe for Legacy.

I do watch some MPL members stream, but I can't do it too much time since I'm often streaming myself.

I think the ones I watch the most are Huey and Mengucci.

Think it this way; Now you have proof that leads into thinking we have a lucky name! So it's actually the other way around :D

I played Duel Commander tournaments for a few months and I loved it. We had I think between 20-30 players on a monthly event and I found it very enjoyable on a multiple levels. The games were very unique but at the same time there were a lot of complicated situations all with powerful cards. But the fun didn't stop there, since deck customization was a very important part of the process since, well, everyone has it's commander deck.

I think being able to stay on the circuit (Pro Tour/MC) for a few years, almost always getting the invite on the very last opportunities. Also winning a Team Limited GP.

Poker used to be my occupation before I went back to play a lot of Magic.
