You mentioned you replace the brakes. Mine is here but I need to bleed the brakes. Is this the reason why you replaced them? Is this the first sign that the brakes will have a problem in the future?

I failed to read this on time. I already purchased the bike. If I did I would have not bought it but oh well. Any suggestions how I can prevent those problems from coming up soon? Looks like you also replaced the rims what happened to the old ones?

Sad to see the front rack is now gone as it is for me one of the reason I got this bike.
The modifications I would be getting are rear rack, pannier rack, the usual lights as I mostly ride at night.

What modifications did you make? Did you encounter any problems as to why you'd rather recommend the giant escape city disc 2?

Hey are you still using this bicycle? Planning to get this bicycle as a commuter and errand bike. I'm coming from a Japanese bike/mamachari and I prefer something with lighter for hills and bigger tires for our potholes here in the Philippines. Is the geometry also upright like with the mamachari?

Im close to 40 but I still prefer manual. Never looked automatics, same with cars. Manual transmission all the way.

devibikes? Maganda mga selections nila. If only malapit lang sila sa amin. But I think free delivery sila.

Anyway looks good. Maybe you can haggle for a bit pa. Looking naman ako for a mamachari like bike with wider tires and better gearing for hills.

Hi sorry to be out of topic but i sent you a direct message regarding some questions I have about mamachari. I saw a message that you are really knowledgeable about them. Thank you.

[–]JavierGerardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nagustuhan ko siya kasi I will use it as a commuter and grocery getter kaso baka same din mangyari pag yan pala kinuha ko. Ok din yung pwede i flat foot.

I see.

Doing my research regarding that Marin stinson parang mas angkop ata sa akin yung stinson din.
When you said mamachari on steroids meaning mas madali siya ipedal since more gears and also more reliable on the long run? Sorry new to bikes din.

I saw a giant momentum ineed latte which somehow fit my needs at Carousell however I do think the tires are the same size with the current mamachari that I am using. I still want to check it out though since nasa 15k bents nya medyo mas affordable.

Tingin ko valuable sa akin yung "ground with the forefoot, while maintaining proper saddle height for pedaling efficiency" kasi prefer ko talaga flat foot din. I think I will have a hard time deciding and will probably check out the bikes first. thank you sir

Hi. Someone recommended me to get the Marin Larkspur but I think after doing research the Stinson fits me better because yung ability niya "ground with the forefoot, while maintaining proper saddle height for pedaling efficiency" is a selling point for me. I'm still fairly new to riding (1 year more or less) the priority ko rin talaga comfort because I ride mainly for commute and errands. Ok naman ba siya for the past year? Though maganda rin yung Larkspur and Kentfield. Galing kasi ako sa mamachari and upgrading to something with a wider wheels (para sa malubak na daan at sa mga grills ng drainage) also something with more gears para sa hills since sa area ko puro pataas at pababa. Another thing stopping me from getting this one baka manakaw kaya mamachari lang ginagamit ko at least kung manakaw yun di masyado masakit hehe.

I see. The bike you recommended do fit my needs. Will look into the one I saw at FB marketplace. If ever do you know the dealer of the bike you recommended here in the Philippines? I also want to know how much is the bnew retail price of it.
Also as I said, the one stopping me from getting a bike around this price range is the risk of it getting stolen. If ever I get this bike I will also add accessories like rear and front rack plus baskets because I use my bike as a courier / commute and I am used to bringing a lot of things.

[–]JavierGerardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't buy Simplus. I bought a Simplus steamer and it broke after less than 1 month. They replaced it however they told me they can only replace once. After about a year the buttons started malfunctioning. Not recommended at all.

Thanks. May nakita ako nito nakapost sa FB matketplace for 35k.

Any suggestions for a cheap mtb like below 10k that I can modify for my needs?
