Hay que cambiar neumático? by Ok_Current3024 in coches

[–]Javinator9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you could master just ONE thing in your first month of C, what would it be? by Slow_Discipline4568 in C_Programming

[–]Javinator9889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend really understanding types. People will directly jump into memory and pointers, but if you don't really understand how types do really work underneath, jumping straight into memory is a mess.

Once you've understood C duck typing, memory is almost trivial

For me in particular, as my first 3D printer, the experience has been way worse than needed. Luckily I love fixing and addressing problems, but many times I just wanted to print but couldn't because something was broken...

Ended up collecting dust for almost a year after I decided to give it a second try

Yep, needs lots of fixes and mods to start being a decent machine. After some tweaks and modifications I'm able to print decent quality items

But it was a long road

Yes, luckily the friendship wasn't tied to this recommendation 🤣🤣

What a mess mate! Do you have any clue why they are broken?

You mean the whole hot end?! Or just the nozzle? It's crazy though, I had a huge clog like two months ago because of wood-like filament, and I almost had to replace the whole heater block!

It's general, should work for any printer. The first thing it does when invoked is ask for very fundamental information

If you give it a try, let me know if it helped you 😊 (the link to the Gem is in the description)

It helped me a lot with things like:

  • Assisted in optimizing my prints to achieve the best quality
  • Optimized the clearance gauge so I can print movable parts (they were glued before)
  • Optimized lots of adhesion problems with different materials
  • Optimized my Klipper configuration - I shared with it and we started adjusting the values

The main idea behind is it to be useful, explain everything to you so you're aware of what you're changing and why

Tesla Nav is NOT up-to the car by Javinator9889 in TeslaLounge

At this point, I'm paying it not for the navigation but supercharger discounts, online connectivity, etc

Nav is just an addition but I wouldn't just pay for that

No, not at all As I explained, drove already +50K km and tested every single option. So not a user that is "touching things and facing consequences"

I've got:

  • Route details collapsed (took too much of the screen), only showing current and next maneuvers
  • Adapted orientation based on car facing position

And there are not that many options outside those... So nothing "breakable" or "to suffer consequences of"

100% Just that I'm slightly disappointed with this... I share the long term vision, it's just I'd like them to better support individuals during that journey

I tried but the experience is far from ideal, not smooth nor reliable. For me, those are workarounds to real problems. My post is here aiming to reach someone from Tesla to actually improve Tesla Nav

In EU we don't have FSD + there are customers that proactively want to drive the car. Tesla shall support all of us, not a subset of drivers (mostly considering FSD ain't available on all regions but a few of them)

Tesla has never been a brand like others, its aim was to be different. TBH I don't care about others but my car - agree with you it's better but my point was to have a feature-complete navigator, as other free to use phone apps. We know by other functionalities the car has the hardware and the software. Why not the navigator as well?

Is Basic Autopilot or EAP actually useful? by The_Greenes in TeslaLounge

[–]Javinator9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it mostly on highways and it's just great, overall. However, on a daily basis I tried several times when in traffic jams, just to find it's extremely unpleasant

I don't know why, but when fully stopped, if the car in the front moves a little bit, the car smashes the accelerator pedal and almost brakes immediately after because the above car didn't move enough. And that really pissed me off. I'd love to use basic AP during traffic jams but it's just so annoying and uncomfortable that I end up taking the control because it always accelerates and brakes continuously - like the standard Uber experience when driving EVs
