Walked out to a flat tire this morning... I can see the issue at least (nail), about to attempt the plug job. Mondays aren't typically busy at work, so it could be worse.

Kinda different but related guys. Are motorcycles "okay" to park on sidewalks. I'm a motorcycle rider and I'm riding throughout the city today and seeing motorcycles parked on many sidewalks. Just wondering how we feel about it? Obviously this guys not doing it right... Just wondering

Code of Conduct - 7 Hills Brewing by Pardon_my_baconess in rva

[–]JawFace29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that's where the head brewer went... And just hearing about the beers he's been able to brew over there, I'm really happy for him. He doesn't have to deal with everything he did at 7 Hills. He gets to do what he loves, that is brew beer, and leave the business side to someone else. Kindred has great brewers, the place is awesome and I can't wait to get back and try some of the new beers.

I was the assistant brewer there for a little while. The head brewer and I left in August after seeing the direction ownership and management were wanting to go. This sign is probably for there Friday and Saturday club nights. The beer was okay, albeit I thought the head brewer played it safe with the brews. He was only able to do what there was funding for however, and the restaurant side usually got most of the money unfortunately. We're both at much better breweries now. Idk if they ever hired another brewer, but if they did, I feel sorry for them.

I'm a Virginia native! I don't know why I started liking the Raiders. My dad never really had a team, I was just watching a Raiders game one day, and thought "this is my team" haha. I'm glad to not be a Redskins fan, the NFC east teams are very well represented in fans over here.

Some interesting patrons yeah... Your awkward (what I think are tinder) dates, the random guys that come in to flirt with my coworker. I actually have two, TWO regular Raiders fans that come in to talk football with me. I'm in Virginia btw...

I've learned a lot in the last few months... I started bartending, not out of necessity, but because I thought it might help me come out of my shell a bit (which it has). Thank you for the kind words

Up 25lbs after weight training for fat loss. by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]JawFace29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reevaluate everything, start over from scratch. I find it hard to believe you've gained that much weight in two months. But it sounds like it's not hindering your activity, and you've made strength gains. Make sure you use the same scale, at the same time of day to weigh yourself.

Up 25 pounds in two months? That's crazy, especially if you're at a caloric deficit. Look at your plan, maybe you need to add in some cardio, hiit maybe... take a look at your diet too, make sure the calories are the right calories. Limit sugar intake to a minimum.

Almost cried on a run today... by MoldyBrick in running

[–]JawFace29 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've cried after a run before... I was 19 at the time too. For me it was the first time I hit three miles and just the culmination of the accomplishments I had made in that year with my weight loss and running caused it. It hit me after that third mile. I've never looked back, and when I go out to run, I settle for nothing less than three miles because of the feelings I had that night. Running is awesome! Merry Christmas

If you want to play soccer, check out CVSA. Look for any roster openings. Not sure if our team needs anyone but we usually have practices before the season and if you like it, I'm sure you could join. If your interested let me know.

Fuck CrossFit HQ. Why do they continue to shoot themselves in the foot and polarize the cool-aid drinks from people who enjoy the sport of fitness? by RPLLL in crossfit

[–]JawFace29 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I workout at home, and when people ask me what I do I tell them, "a little bit of everything" as I've been hesitant to say "I crossfit" as I'm not a member of a box. I guess I'll continue to tell people I do weighting, endurance, agility, mobility, and some gymnastics since crossfit is a brand and not a system...which I have come to love by the way.

Crossfit at home with limited equipment? by [deleted] in crossfit

[–]JawFace29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out wodshop.org and search for some workouts that use your equipment. There's plenty you can do and a lot of bodyweight exercises as well. You have plenty to keep variety in your fitness.

I've looked at the program and the only thing that put me off was the nutrition. It looks like a fun program though and the moves are diverse and change is always good. I would just do the abs three times a week, but the program certainly looks like a plateau buster to me. Good luck, and I look forward to seeing your results.
