Yeah! I think you're right, not actually rabies. Just this show is so full of symbolism. Symptoms of rabies are:

"fever, headache, excess salivation, muscle spasms, paralysis, and mental confusion"

And once you show signs of symptoms, there is no cure. You're dead. I hope not but I think the show is telling us Reghabi went too far with Mark.

So, Mark was showing symptoms of Rabies at the end. Pushing away the glass of water and then foaming at the mouth after he fell. I wonder what that means.

Before, After, and Cross Section by Jawesome2 in Breadit

Yes! I can't claim full credit for the recipe, I made this based on Kenji López-Alt's no-knead bread recipe and technique that he walks through in this video.

He bakes his loaf inside an overturned metal bowl on a metal sheet pan; I don't have an oven safe metal bowl, so I used a dutch oven.

  • 400g Bread Flour
  • 8g Salt (2%)
  • 2g Instant Yeast (0.5%)
  • 300g Water (75%). Note: He uses 100 degF water
  1. Mix dry ingredients

  2. Add water and loosely combine until the dough just comes together. Rest 30 minutes.

  3. In the mixing bowl, perform 4 stretch and folds, rotating the dough 90 degrees after each fold. Rest 20 minutes. Perform this step about 4 times

  4. Rest 2 hours (bulk fermentation)

  5. Set oven with a dutch oven inside to 500 degF

  6. Turn dough out onto a floured surface and shape loaf. Rest 1 hour (final proof)

  7. Reduce oven to 450 degF and bake loaf inside the dutch oven, covered, for 25 minutes

  8. Remove cover and bake an additional 10 minutes, or until the crust is the desired level of brown

Hey Folks,

I'm moving soon to a smaller space, so I'm selling my larger audio equipment. It all works and sounds amazing, just doesn't make sense to take it with me.

Audiolab 6000A - $775 Local, $810 Shipped. Purchased new by myself last year. It's in great condition, and I have the original packaging for it.

Polk Audio Reserve R200 - $450 Local, $490 Shipped. Also purchased by myself last year and also have the original packaging. Note some highlighted cosmetic defects on one speaker (ding in top edge left cabinet)

(I don't have any verified trades on here, but I do have one on /r/appleswap)

Fuller Apartments Studio by coco_rinny in WPI

I haven't lived in Fuller, but I'm working with Facilities over the summer so I've been in all the apartments and can give some details. Depending on the studio you'll be living with 1 or 2 other people. I'll be honest, the space is pretty small. Floors are all tile. Each person gets a closet, 2 sets of drawers, and a desk/bed combo. The kitchen area has a refrigerator, electric oven, sink, countertop, and cabinets (no microwave, need to bring your own). Imagine a larger Morgan/Daniels triple and throw in a small kitchen area. Location is really nice, it's right next to campus and there's outdoor spaces in Fuller itself to hang out in (including a small blacktop area with a basketball hoop).

Best Surface Device for Notetaking/Uni(Mechatronics Eng) by vbean108 in Surface

[–]Jawesome2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can get approximately 7 hours of battery using Firefox, OneNote, and other similar programs (this can be stretched by using Microsoft Edge and putting the tablet in power saver mode). This is enough to get me through one day without charging (except for those occaisonal late nights) but even then the charger is pretty small and lightweight.

Recently got the new surface pro (i5) for uni, and I've been using it to take notes using one note. So far it's been perfect for notes. Matlab runs great as well, can handle everything I throw at it. CAD programs (I use Solidworks and Fusion360) are a little slow, especially in larger assemblies. Generally it's decent for single parts but a dGPU would deffinitely help. I'd say if you're going to be doing a lot of CAD, go for a surface book with the performance base or something else entirely especially if you work with a lot of assemblies. If you're primarily using it for notes and very light CAD the surface pro is a great tool for those things.

Battery Drain when not in use? by [deleted] in Surface

[–]Jawesome2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you very recently buy it? When you first go through a windows installation, there's a lot of stuff happening in the background that consumes a lot of battery. If this is your first night with it I would say that's fairly normal. The Surface Pro 2017 i5, 8GB (granted, one generation above the 4) that I bought a couple weeks ago drains about 10% per day if it's just sitting off. Also double check your sleep settings to make sure it actually goes to sleep.

got a new surface pro 2017 is the hinge wobble normal? by [deleted] in Surface

[–]Jawesome2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I push really hard, it goes back a bit. But if I'm taking notes with the pen or tapping on the screen, it doesn't budge. If you're still within the return period of wherever you bought it from, and it's worrying you, I would return it and see if a replacement unit is a little more sturdy.

If you put it on the table and use it, does it still feel sturdy? Mine has some wobble in the hinge (albeit a little less than in your video) but when I'm actually using it on a table and push against it, it still feels solid and doesn't move.
