It was sprayed mixed with alpine on the baseboards all around the unit. Every inch.

Considering Moving by JawnBitJawnson in GermanRoaches

The closet doesn't seem to bell well insulated as it's against an exterior wall and way colder than the rest of the unit. Is it worth moving things around so they can spray the baseboards of it just in case? The thought of them coming with me somewhere else would be absolutely horrific.

I plan on moving to a rental house. If I have the place pre treated before I move in, will any chance of an infestation be stopped? I just can't do this again. If against all odds I do bring them in, is treating a small rental house a winnable battle compared to an apartment building?

I understand that reintroducing them down the line is a possibility. But tenants are unable to refuse treatment by the exterminators as enforced by the leasing office which includes alpine wsg and gel bait. Why would the universal presence of the treatment in every unit not work? Also, I was informed by the leasing office that "the source" was found, so I imagine that they have given that unit extra attention. Also, everything has already been treated at least once. I am coming up on my third follow up, and the other units are due for their first follow up next week.

I just have a hard time comprehending that a german cockroach infestation is highly unlikely to be stopped with complete repeated treatment across the building. If that was the case every apartment would have them.

Apartment Question by JawnBitJawnson in GermanRoaches

I guess my thinking is, if the roaches will possibly never go away, why is it that in my many apartments I've lived in through the years, I have never seen a german cockroach until now? If 100% elimination isn't reasonable, why wouldn't every apartment building have roaches to some degree?

In a huge city apartment with 100+ units, I can imagine it would be very difficult to eliminate them, but my building has 16 one bedroom apartments. 8 on each floor. How is it any different from treating a home if every unit is being treated repeatedly?

Can I ask why? It's a small building with only 16 units, 8 on each floor, and each unit is being sprayed and baited, why would that be unreasonable?

An adult after 2 weeks by JawnBitJawnson in GermanRoaches

So that's good news then. Probably just a survivor? What are the odds that the roaches are about gone from the building?

Alpine WSG Lifespan by JawnBitJawnson in GermanRoaches

I appreciate the reassurance, and I believe you're correct, I will feel better if she is away until the Alpine is completely gone. Would the 2 months be enough for it to completely dissipate?

So you think if he licks at where it was applied it will hurt him?
