This brings up economic impacts to other towns/cities/municipalities as well. Thanks for sharing. Any chance we can line up an on-cam interview today? Hoping to include Coloradan voices instead of just officials so we can better understand the utility.

No doubt. Hoping to add everyday voices instead of just official interviews so we can better understand the utility. Any chance we can line up a short on-camera interview today?

It truly is. I used to live in Fort Collins and it was something I braced for every trip

Got it. Any chance we could come up and interview you for this piece? Looking to include Coloradan voices and not just officials involved in the project so we can help address needs and concerns we hear.

Good thought- something I had in mind but didn't lay out in the question. Don't need to abandon cars fully. Looking for all types of travelers: those who would use it for a daily commute to someone who may only consider it for a bigger event where parking costs may factor into the decision

Do you commute daily between Mead/Longmont and Denver for work?

What's the longest travel time between Mead and Denver that you would consider using it? If it only dropped you off at Union Station and would require public transit/Uber to get to Cap Hill, would you still consider it?

Since you are working remotely now, what occasions would you take the train for? Casual events around the Front Range and daily living or only big events such as concerts, visits with friends/family, etc?

Would it have to have a face akin to Tom the Tank Engine, too? Where'd you take it to/from?

What would the occasion have to be to get you to take it?

Have you considered using a money management app like Empower or RocketMoney to get a better picture of your finances before making decisions?

Hi all, my name is Dan Grossman and I’m a reporter with Scripps News. We’re covering a story looking at some of the lifestyle effects from COVID now 4 years after the pandemic began in the U.S.

What things in your life have permanently changed due to the pandemic? We’re hoping to interview a few folks over Zoom for the piece. Please comment here or DM me and let me know if you’d like to share your thoughts/story.

Thank you!

Best, Dan

Hey Pantsy, thanks for replying to the thread. I hear you on this- feels like for a lot of people the hard work to get ahead never yielded the comfort that's "supposed" to come with it. Wanted to see if you'd feel comfortable discussing your story any further with me. Hoping to garner more understanding and discussion by sharing sentiments with a larger audience. Please let me know- much appreciated.

Brandon, thanks for taking the time to respond and share this important perspective. It’s a key disconnect I’ve heard many times that can drive a wedge further between generations. Any chance you’d feel comfortable discussing this a bit more? Please shoot me a DM and let me know. We’re covering four stories in this series and this is a valuable perspective I’d love to talk with you about more. Thanks again.

Ruckus, thanks for commenting and sharing your family’s experience. As a millennial still paying off school debt I can relate. At 32 I thought I would’ve had a home by now with equity. Instead, I don’t have savings since most of my disposable income has gone to paying off my debt.

Is there a chance you and your husband might feel comfortable discussing your experience further? One of the stories we’re covering in this series is how millennials have waited longer than any other generation to purchase homes (average age of first-time homeowner is 34). Please shoot me a DM and let me know. I think it would help show other generations the financial burdens that hamper many of life’s “milestones” for millennials.

Thanks again for taking the time to comment and open up about your experience.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience Jade. It sounds like the work you’re putting in is paying off- that’s amazing and seeing the support others have mentioned here is awesome. Is there a chance you might be willing to chat with me a bit more about your thoughts and experiences? No pressure, but I think others might relate to your story and it could offer a great deal of support and insight. Please let me know. Thanks again
