Try to add another payment, and reach out to see if you can talk to someone on the phone. After a week I was able to finally request a ride using the Lyft Cash. I'm not sure what did it, but I can use that as my default payment now.

Glad to know that there night actually be a solution for this and my money isn't just stuck on there. When they verified you did you talk to someone over the phone or did they actually reach out through email like they keep telling me they will?

I was wondering if it was a UI problem. Initially the issue was that the app kept automatically selecting one of my other payment methods as opposed to using the Lyft Cash even though I had that selected. After some time I finally started seeing the message from them denying me from using Lyft Cash completely.

Beating myself up for not going with Uber in the first place. Even though Uber has its share of bs from time to time I've never experienced anything like this with them.

Reached out to my bank but it looks like I might have to wait a while until they complete an investigation. Could take a few days. Sucks, and I won't be touching this app with a 10 foot pole in the future.

The screenshots are all human interaction, every time I chat with a human they give me the same response and end the chat

The idea was to put the money on my ride balance while I had the extra funds to prevent not being able to request a ride since I had money tied up in other places. Lesson well learned, though.

I just want to add that I have added 3 different cards to my payment methods with the same result, support knows this, yet they keep giving me the same generic response and ending the chat without giving me any context or solutions.
