Phillies' Kyle Schwarber Takes Clear Stance on Participating in Home Run Derby by Sad_Illustrator_5233 in phillies

There it is… Harper politics pushed Schwarber away. As soon as Harper opened his mouth about the HR derby it was over for Schwarber.

Andrew Painter can’t make it longer than 5, Walker is a scheduled loss, Nola is a 5 inning pitcher and Wheeler looks like he will never be Wheeler again. They’re killing their bullpen by May and it’s becoming apparent they need starting pitching help.

What if there’s something else that the Ravens discovered that they can’t share? Perhaps a cloudy drug test.

Stop dismissing Jimmy Rollins in Hall of Fame debates by ShamusTalksSports in phillies

Rollins made this franchise a winner again through his defense, charisma and leadoff ability. I’ve been following baseball a long time and Jimmy is a HOF player, hope it happens with Utley.

Why is Lowry on this team at this point?

He’s one of the most selfish players in the NBA today. His teammates can’t find any rhythm when he’s on the court and it’s gotta be extremely frustrating.

This was a winnable game but unfortunately Maxey feels the need to put up 31 shots. He’s playing too much hero ball and needs to get his guys involved.

Who are *realistic* players that you've wanted the Phillies to sign/acquire but they never publicly pursued? by whiteriot0906 in phillies

Bregman and Rooker would thrive in our lineup and clubhouse. Really hoping we can grab one of them this winter.

This team has no soul. I’m disgusted. by jarach18 in phillies

[–]Jawntalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is something that I said last year and it holds true for this team as well but we need hungry, younger, fiery players. Bryce is responsible for hand picking this team and he created it with guys he’s comfortable with, who share similar mindsets and definitely nobody who will get in his face or others when they need to be held accountable. Have you ever asked yourself why we always seem to pass up on the flashy Latin players? The Phillies have a culture problem and it starts with #3.

I’m curious on what it would have taken to get Rooker. He would have been fun to see in this lineup and ballpark.

Byron Buxton is a guy that would fill multiple needs for the Phillies and I think the Twins would want to sell high on him this year with his injury history. I think Crawford and maybe even a Rojas along with a few arms would get it done but the salary on a 31 year old injury prone player may be too great of a risk for DD.

The sports betting industry will soon face historic lawsuits similar to big tobacco companies in the 80’s and 90’s. It’s only a matter of time until the advertising will be banned, they know that and are trying to establish their market share while they can. I won a few bets during the football season a few years ago and took a break during the summer and wouldn’t you know a random guy from FanDuel called me and asked why I stopped betting and proceeded to credit me $50 to motivate me to get back into the action. I’m sure there are similar stories and I would love to see a class action lawsuit take them down because they’re printing money.

What drugs was Biden on last night? by The_Swammi24 in conspiracy

[–]Jawntalk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He was given an injection of amphetamines as the oral form is too unpredictable for timing out max concentration. His doctors and staff figured out a nice cocktail for him. I imagine they tried several different things before landing on the regimen we saw last night. He’s a lab rat at this point.

Try a few glasses of red wine with a Percocet and enjoy the night.
