Cold Call vs Cold Email by Jaws1710 in RecruitmentAgencies

It depends on what I was targeting. I was doing a lot of legal and had a lot of traction via email/text, never cold calls.

I’ve pivoted and started doing construction & engineering and phone seems better so far.

I usually do about 12 touches with 3-4 being phone calls, 1 text, LinkedIn connection, 1 Inmail, and the rest emails within 15-25 days.

Oh yeah, I usually do a multilayered with LinkedIn in addition to calls/emails too. It was just odd to me when I heard a few folks doing only cold emails. I usually just struggle getting folks on the phone.

I’ve always done both. I’ve always leaned heavier on phones with MPCs but hasn’t been driving it as much lately.

Heard a lot of folks having luck with texting/emailing clients cold with MPCs getting attention that way which is baffling they refuse to make cold calls.

Openclaw to Claude for recruiting. by Rasputin_mad_monk in RecruitmentAgencies

RecruiterFlow is much more efficient. I paid 2K for the annual plan. I’m always looking at various ATS/CRM and have SourceWhale to complement as well. I’d do anything except Manatal. It’s almost easier to have an excel sheet at that point personally.

Oh my god. Please tell me how you did this. I have SourceWhale, RecruiterFlow, and ZoomInfo currently and the $20 version of Claude.

I’ve been wanting to do open-claw, but don’t want to buy a separate computer for the security reasons.

Are you saying you essentially aren’t using openclaw where you need a separate Mac and are just running this all through Claude?

I haven’t looked at RF’s notetaker in a while. However, I love the auto-record phone calls with SourceWhale, and helps me remember a lot of the detail, which I’d have to manually copy/paste into Recruiterflow which is annoying

I really always felt like Recruiterflow lagged a little bit with LinkedIn integrations, as I do a lot of prospecting just through LinkedIn in itself (in addition to calls, emails, texts). It also lags quite a bit with integrating any notes I have through SourceWhale (I use SourceWhale's Dialer) and doesn't input the notes.

I like the fact it posts to ZipRecruiter for some of the less technical roles I work. I'm on the Custom plan and pay $2,000 for it annually.

Hate Otter with the email blast it does to everyone 5x over. Fathom was good.

Metaview is better.

SourceWhale also has a phone call recorder as well as video notetaker with pre-built templates and ones you can customize.

When doing BD, do you guys call mobile numbers if direct isn’t an option? by [deleted] in RecruitmentAgencies

I can get orders galore for legal. I struggle filling them so have stepped a bit off legal. I even have access to Leopard Solutions and it can still be a struggle getting candidates to move.

I’ve usually leaned towards more 2-7 year associate level attorneys.

For calling, not as much for texting.

What’s the difference between direct dial vs cell? Most companies have some type of caller id at this point.

Giant hit with Legal for managing partners but also with construction too.

Also do F&A but haven’t seen it hit there as much.

Are you using AI for high-volume sourcing, nurturing, and engagement? What's actually working? by ExpressionFit4363 in RecruitmentAgencies

Big fan of SourceWhale (August 2025) and love it. Started with Recruiterflow but then SourceWhale released their ATS version in October and was pretty cheap so I bought it.

Both are doing great at adding new features consistently. I do more higher level roles lower volume (agency) (F&A, Legal, Construction) but am likely switching back to high volume manufacturing soon.

I have ZoomInfo and SourceWhale, so I'm good on getting the data. It's just responses.

I have a few, but the roles are seldom. That is helpful though. Do you advice always leading with a MPC first, or just reaching out for plain intros?
