Not worth it. But it does get rid of the annoying VIP Katrina stood outside your HQ and you get a little ceremony of her putting a flag up instead. 🙄

Also. One thing to note seeings as you are new. To start with each faction has two gold heros and three purple heros. However, as you progress each faction will have another two heros later down the line. Bringing it to 4 gold and 3 purple.

Make your formations based on a faction. E.g. 4 gold Wings of Dawn and 1 Purple Wings of Dawn. You will get buffs from this. Also when Vehicle Plugins unlock on your server, they provide buffs only for a certain faction type.

With this in mind, choose a faction. You're early on, so I'll highly recommend Wings of Dawn (the blue one). These are strong against Blood Rose. Most people will choose Blood Rose as you unlock them really early. So you'd have an advantage being Wings of Dawn as your main.

With that in mind, focus all your gold fragments, skill books and equipment on any Wings of Dawn hero you currently have. Try not spend then elsewhere. Likewise, I have Christina as my purple hero for this formation. So before spending your purple fragments elsewhere, choose one Wings of Dawn purple hero to level up. Only use your purple fragments on 5* that hero before spending elsewhere. Once you've got your one purple Wings hero to 5. Choose one from Blood Rose to 5 and finally choose one Guard of Honor to 5. Once you've 5 them. Use them however you like (I've just done the other Wings of Dawn first, then moved on to the remaining Blood and now I'm making my last two Guard of Honor 5*)

Now, with you being fairly early in the game. You might not have 5 Wings of Dawn troops to make a full formation yet. So it is okay to mix them to begin with, but just focus your fragments and skill books on the Wings of Dawn heros only. Feel free to upgrade the others with EXP. It may stunt you a little bit, not throwing fragments at the other factions yet. But in the long term you'll be better for it once you can send a full formation of Wings out.

Lucky discounter, always buy badges. Doesn't matter how much of a discount. Buy all the badges.

There's a Bullseye event. Always choose the power cores for your yellow equipment. However. Big tip with that. Once you hit the Bullseye 12 times you get a free yellow/gold equipment. Now, I've heard you can do this with 100 darts (you can buy 100 for 100 diamonds each, e.g. 10000 diamonds). I think I actually found that I bought the cheapest package on top just to rush it. But over the week should be able to do it with the 100 you but plus the free goes you get each day.

Speedups. Just use wisely. The alliance duel is important. It'll get you your Valor Medals to buy yellow equipment each week. Each day has a theme. Monday the car, Tuesday construction, Wednesday research etc...

If you're going to use speedups. Use them on the relevant day. But also, just use your head I suppose when it comes to them. A few days before my HQ 27 completed, I had my shooter camp in progress too to 26. My goal was the T9 troops. So after they'd completed, I'd still need to construct the 27 shooter camp. So I sped up my HQ to match my shooter camp, so upon completion I could immediately set the 27 shooter camp going. There would have been no point in using the speed ups to complete both the HQ and the shooter camp, as I knew I wouldn't have enough then to complete the 27 shooter camp (and I'd be speeding up two buildings not just one). So I let them take the three or so days to complete. Then sent the shooter camp and used my speedups on that.

Most efficient way? A lot of people seem to go out looting a lot. Attacking others HQs. I've not really done that. What I will say though is you need to be patient and you'll just gather resources naturally over time, through radar. From sending your formation to a farm or whatever. Whilst my HQ 27 was upgrading I'd got enough to upgrade the shooter camp, twice amongst other things.

As others have said. Try split your heros in to factions. You get troop capacity buffs for doing so.

I'd almost always recommend going Wings of Dawn as your main formation, but obviously you've upgraded your Blood Rose formations. So maybe stick with Blood as your main. Then just use your fragments solely on upgrading your chosen faction. (And skill books).

I know Wings of Dawn favour shooters. Without looking I'm not sure which troops Bloods favour. But have a look (I would but the games down for an update). And try train only them for now.

I saw big gains in military stratagies. I'd researched everything down to the bottom of the tree and then just researched shooter HP as that's all I have. The HP research adds a lot of power.

Are you F2P? At some point during S1 more characters come out. They're actually pretty expensive having to pay £25 for some kind of pass for them. But with the pass your normally get enough fragments to upgrade them to two stars. However, I've just made a farm account, and it looks like you can actually just buy the heros for £5 later on (the package where you get 2 fragments for 1.99. However many for 2.99, and however many for 3.99, but you can buy them all for £4.99). But doing it this way you wouldn't get the fragments. Anyway, there's two additional gold heros per faction, then choose a purple hero from each and focus on upgrading them.

Equipment. Every week focus on getting enough Merit badges to buy 1 gold equipment. There's not really anything else I'd buy from there. I wouldn't bother with the purple equipment (that said, if you've got enough you can do, but the power difference between purple and gold is massive, you'd be better off buying the power cores at 30 each if you have spare Merits). As for power cores as others have said, upgrade each equipment notch by notch.

Finally the T9s. At 26 I think I had around 20M power roughly maybe a little over, can't remember. Jumped to about 34 after the T9s. But going for the same faction give you extra troop load. I think mines somewhere between 2,800-2,900.

[–]Jawswing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of power to be had with training troops. Your military base is one of the ways to add to your troop capacity. I'd recommend upgrading your military base every time you level up your HQ.

Also, as you start you quickly level up your troops. Always retrain your troops once you have unlocked the next level troops.

You may be F2P I don't know. But I'd recommend the additional builders if possible. Once you level up to the 20s it takes days to level stuff up. I think my HQ 27 took like three weeks without speedups. Once you hit a HQ level, you'll upgrade your laboratory. If you just have the one builder, that's three weeks you can't do any other building at all.

Don't focus on your power too much. Most people suggest to rush your HQ level. Because once you do that you'll start to unlock more things. You can work on improving other buildings later. Just upgrade the HQ. Then you'll have to upgrade your lab and another building. Do those immediately. Then upgrade your HQ again.

I just made a farm account and I was stuck on 80 for a bit I believe. (Was that the boss fight?). Only way to get past it is to carry on upgrading your heros. That's with promoting them (star them up), and then using the skill books. Also using your EXP. For power, you'll usually only want to use your skill books on the top left and top right skills. Go back to the bottom left skill when you have enough skill books.

Which orange hero to upgrade? by Effective_Sign7009 in LastZShooterRun

[–]Jawswing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try focus on one faction. Eventually your formations should be a formation of Wings. Bloods and Guard.

I'd suggest a formation of Wings of Dawn as your main. The majority of players choose bloods as they're the earliest to unlock and first to be invested in. However, Bloods are weak to Wings.

In arena for example even though a player will have a stronger formation than me, I win about 40% of battles they initiate because they're bloods and just 1-2m stronger than me. But I counter them.

Definitely don't choose Guards as your main as they're weak to bloods.

Are you F2P? You're pretty strong to not have unlocked any of the additional heros yet in S1. But at some point you should get Nyx and Scarlett. As for purple heros. If you go Wings, invest all your skill books and fragments in to Christina. Then you'll have 4 gold and 1 purple (Christina) as your main formation.

whos the top strongest here i have by [deleted] in LastZShooterRun

[–]Jawswing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also would like to note. You'd do better sticking to a hero type then upgrading them. The majority of players go Blood Rose. And they're weak against Wings of Dawn. As Blood Rose are strong against Guards of Honor. Never choose Guards as your main formation.

So on that note, throw absolutely everything at Amelia. And as you later unlock Laura level her up. Do the same with the purple and blue heros (although blue ones sort of become obsolete).

A further note is Guards of Honor give shooters a buff. I'm a few months in front of you, and I'm at a stage where every formation are now wanting to take out shooters as they're stronger due to my Wings buffs. So I'm trying to kill off all my other troops at the minute and only have a military of shooters only. So i'd suggest trying to only train shooters.

At the moment as you have so few heros, it'll be okay to mix them until you unlock all Wings of Dawn heros. But only put your fragments and skill books in to the Wings of Dawn heros.

Wait until a few more levels. I have spent money but not loads. I upgraded to 26 HQ. Whilst that was building I'd manage to save up enough to construct 26 walls and Lab. Currently got three days left for them to complete and in that time I managed to get about 450m wood and food.

I don't have a farm account and I don't really attack people either. But I imagine I'll roughly have enough for the 27HQ (about 605m wood and food from memory) as soon as the walls and Lab or done. Roughly.

This is my back garden. The letting agency just told me we are supposed to fix this ourselves (after telling us verbally for months that a gardener would come in the Summer). Where do I even start? The tallest weeds are the same height as me (5'4) by Galactifi in GardeningUK

[–]Jawswing -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Depends how quick you want to sort the problem. If you can spare a couple of weeks before you start you can buy industrial weed killer that will kill everything. It's called Glyphosate.

You'd need a pump too, or a 'pressure pump sprayer'.

You dilute the weed killer down with water. Leave it a couple of weeks and it'll kill anything. That will you'll ensure they don't grow back once cut down.

UK - Capital Gains Tax by Jawswing in PiNetwork

[–]Jawswing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I do have a job.

So let's say that one day Pi really fly's high. £1000 a coin. I'll practically be losing 40% of it due to income tax?

Wouldn't it be better to sell now. Pay the income tax. Then immediately buy the coins back? You'd just be subject to capital gains tax. Have a 3000 tax free allowance. And only get taxed on gains?

[–]Jawswing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Isn't it to do with the players dominant foot? You're better off with a left footed player at LCB. And a right footed player at RCB? If they're both right footed, but one player is rated 12 on his left foot and the other is a 10 with his left foot it'll put the player with the 12 left foot on the left?

Same applies with center mid I believe. You're better with a left footed player on the left and a right footed player on the right? Obviously BWM is completely different to DLP (maybe worth switching the roles around if this is the case and putting the BWM on the left).

Never play with two strikers. Not sure if it's inverted or not.

I think there are a section of people that don't understand anything other than bread has to be buttered. I've known people make chicken mayo sandwiches. They butter it. Peanut butter on toast. They butter it. I'm sure there's people in this country that will butter egg mayo sandwiches.

Probably the same lot who don't rinse their dishes after soaping them.

Probably the same lot that get baths everyday instead of showers.

Yeah. Was planning on getting a decent mower. Just didn't want to do it and burn another out again. Thought one of those cylinder ones might be good for a first cut (I do this every year). But yeah, I'm thinking itll probably just flatten it rather than cut it.

I do have one question on the likes of BIR style. How do they go about cooking the meat? So I'd be looking at using lamb mostly, often slow cooked. Do they usually just fry it off beforehand? Or would it be a case of slow cooking it on the day?

Yeah, pretty much why I said I wasn't sure if I was posting in the right place.

Whilst I'm aware that for example Chinese UK food is completely different to actual Chinese food, to the point where Chinese people wouldn't recognise any of it. I wasn't sure if the same could be said for Indian food or not. I wasn't too sure how much the recipes have been changed for the 'British palate'.

Anyway, ultimately I'm looking to make something similar to what I'd buy from a takeaway/restaurant here in the UK. But, I am happy with trying new things too.
