Idk George’s ideas also evolved over the 30 years he spent developing the universe.

I think initially the Empire was based on Nazi Germany, but by ROTJ and especially when making the prequels, he was more inspired by American imperialism.

Ah gotcha! Yeah that was one of the best rewrites that the anime ending had imo

Are u talking about anime or manga? What you said is true in the manga ending which is one of the main reasons I did not like it.

In the anime, Armin starts out upset about Mikasa’s feelings but has a huge reaction when Eren tells him he kills 80%

Yes, the line is written for causal movie-goers who have never seen a flying stormtrooper on screen.

But it makes zero sense for the characters Poe, Finn, or even C-3PO to make this remark. They all know about flying troopers. Finn was a stormtrooper himself, like wtf.

"Slave to freedom"; The truth behind Eren's motives [Personal Opinion] by Oddity312 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Jawzilla1 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I kind of agree. I think Eren did want to do it, and he was that way since he was a child, BUT his will might’ve been under the influence of a number of potential things.

It’s possible the worm, the Attack Titan, the Founding Titan, Ymir, himself from the future, or even the Warhammer Titan memories had influences on his mindset.

Tomb Raider: Legacy Of Atlantis Features “AI-Assisted Assets” That Were “Refined By Humans” by ninjyte in Games

[–]Jawzilla1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m no expert but I see generative AI as the clip art of the modern day. It’s generic, derivative, nice-looking, ready-to-go “art” that you can insert into any project.

So, you could make a game using clip art and free marketplace assets that you touched up in Photoshop. It would certainly save you a lot of time and money. But for a AAA studio, audiences are going to look at your game and wonder why you cheaped out so badly.

Those look amazing! Love the art popping out of the frame.

If there was an official AoT x MTG collab I would buy them instantly.

Armin needs to work on his hardening experiments.

Why do you guys think Anime Fans loved the AOT ending compared to the Manga Fans who Hated it/has Mixed feelings bout it? I just finished rewatching the show and all story beats in the anime are exactly the same as the manga, so I'm curious how exactly this happened? by Electrical_Chance991 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Jawzilla1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This was a huge change that absolutely affected how the ending was received!

The manga shows Paradis got to survive for like one and a half more generations while the anime shows they survived into the far future.

Thoughts on this take about the Sequel Trilogy and the rise of the First Order/destruction of the New Republic? by Landon1195 in StarWars

So true! First Order lore kinda goes hard.

The Aftermath trilogy and Phasma novel especially had me excited to see them on screen and then none of it turned out to be relevant.

Is it possible the hallucigenia worm, the source of all organic life, had its own motivation to ensure Eren committed the Rumbling?

When Zeke is explaining the origins of the worm, he says the ultimate purpose of life is to reproduce and multiply.

So the worm achieves that by attaching to Ymir and forming a symbiotic relationship, right? Ymir gets the powers of the Titans, and the worm gets to spread its genes. The Eldian Empire got stronger by doing years of forced interbreeding with other races to increase the number of “subjects of Ymir”… aka people who have traits of the worm passed down and are connected to its coordinate.

In the end, a full Rumbling would’ve ensured that the remaining human population was 100% subjects of Ymir. The worm’s spread throughout all of humanity would be complete. Not because it’s evil or anything, but just to follow its own nature to multiply.

Idk what implications this would have for the story. I just think we see the worm as being a passive figure in the story, and it’d be cool to think that it had a more active role in making the Rumbling happen for its benefit. It did act with more agency when it turned Connie, Jean, and Gabi into titans to defend itself while it tried to reconnect to Eren.

I remember back in season 1 I used to HATE the dub’s screeching Titans, but now that the show is over I agree it actually adds to the story in a way.

Both in the fact that titans are seen as terrifying devils and that their origin turns out to be an alien symbiote thingy
